We are currently in need of EDITORS in the following fields:
• Patent
• Law
• Medical
• IT
• Finance
Applicants must be graduates of any related courses specified above.
We also accept interns pursuing degrees related to the above mentioned job.

Nature of the Job:

Editors will be assigned files based on their field of expertise. However, in case such files are not available, editors are expected to be flexible in editing files from fields other than their specialties. Editors check translated files for any grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors. A style guide will be used as basis for corrections. Editors must also leave comments when necessary to help clients better understand the errors made. Fact checking must also be performed to ensure accuracy. In case of poor translation, editors are expected to utilize online translation resources to get a grasp of what the client is trying to say. Files must be submitted within the day; the duration for each file will depend on its word count and complexity.

Incase of not much order of Editing, company will ask editors to training their skills for Editing; managing applications such as MS Excel or MS Words; typing, research; essay grading, and support other group office in Japan or Korea; and so on.

Interns will be under the supervision of b-cause Philippines editors. Interns are expected to assist in editing tasks. They will be trained accordingly on the style guide and on the editing process.

Requirements:
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Has at least 1-year proofreading / editing experience;
• Has specific knowledge in a certain category e.g. law, patent, medicine, finance, Information technology, etc.;
• Able to meet deadlines; and
• Reports work feedback sincerely.
Preferred Skills:
• Has 1 to 3-years proofreading / editing experience;
• Has undergone proofreading / editing training courses;
• Understands Japanese business culture; and
• Computer and internet savvy.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary is given every 25th of the month;
• Salary starts from Php 13,000 to Php 25,000 according to your skills and experience;
• Bonus is given every 3 months in case company has net profit (20% of net profit will be given to employees); and
• Travel Allowance, Overtime Pay, Performance Bonus, Special Field Bonus, Attendance Bonus, TOEIC Exam Sponsorship and Trip to Japan for best employees.
