Joomla developer - 40 hours/ week

I'm looking for full time Joomla specialist developer. The successful candidate will have:
-Extensive experience developing their own Joomla extensions (plugins, components and modules)
-Good knowledge of the Joomla ecosystem, available extensions, CMS features and updates
-Good spoken and ok written English. Should be comfortable expressing complex IT concepts and projects clearly with me.
-Should have a good overall knowledge of IT systems and find the best solution for projects and problems.
-Have strong PHP and MySQL programming skills and familiarity with Joomla's MVC coding structure.
-Decent front end skills (jQuery, html, css, bootstrap)
-Understanding of social media marketing, online advertising, SEO - these are not the core activities of the company, but they need to be understood and considered, and you'll need to be involved in this side of things.

Other tasks:
-I may from time to time ask you to help with admin tasks, customer support, general marketing activities, etc. You will not be expected to be an expert at this, but I'll just ask you to do your best.
-As we figure out our work routine, we'll work together to improve the tools used for the business, such as CRM, email systems, marketing setups, etc. If you could take an interest in the overall business systems and project goals, and make a special effort to learn new tools, then that would be great. You'll be an important part of the decision making process on these decisions and important the their successful implementation.
-I'm based in the UK. We're 8 hours behind the Philippines. Very occasionally, I will ask you to work evenings so that half our working day matches up (8am-12noon here = 4 - 8pm there). This will be agreed at least a week in advance and no more than 3 days in any month. At all other times you work normal working hours and have flexibility to fit around your life and family.

How we'll work together:
-IWe'll speak twice a week on skype (Monday and Thursday afternoon Philippines time):
-On Monday we'll assess the last week and agree on targets for coming week. You'll let me know what you need from me to allow you to do your job
-On Thursday we'll update on weekly progress and agree on what must be finished by the end of the week
-On non-skype days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday), you'll send me a very short email at the end of your day updating me briefly on current progress and alerting me to any issues or anything I can help with. You can of course contact me whenever you have to- these short emails are just a minimum!

About me/the company:
I am a Web consultancy form specialising in Joomla who is looking for branch out into SaaS projects and online services. To give you some idea of the type of things you might be working on with technologies involved in addition to those listed above):
-The website for an international sporting body (Video steaming, ionic apps)
-A skill and time share movement based in London (Blockchain, graph database [neo4j], custom API creation)
-An innovative web-based task management tool for freelancers (Quite a lot of ajax jQuery, bootstrap stuff i could use some help with!)
-An domain privacy service (Automated telephone services, SMS gateway integration, 2FA)
-Micro-controller device manufacturing (Arduino, plugin development for various CMS and shopping carts)
-Creative Events Planning (Events management, VikAppointments)

As you can see, we have a varied bunch of projects to keep you busy and interested.

To get started:
-At the start, I'll bring you in on a current project and ask you to get involved and do some development. We'll see how well we work together, and whether your skills, personality and initiative are right for this role. This will be a full month at full pay (without benefits). After a successful month, this would become an ongoing role with benefits.
-I am a Joomla specialist programmer myself, so I'll be asking you to do work that I fully understand. If you do not have a very strong understanding of the Joomla CMS and its codebase, and you do not possess good PHP and MySQL programming skills, then you'll not be considered for this role.
