Product Design Engineer

It’s primary target market is North America, but has started market expansion in Asia and South America. The company has been providing products and services to household brands in the US since 2011.
The company’s subsidiary, ZIYA SYSTEMS PHILIPPINES, INC., is the Design and Engineering arm with business location in Severino Plaza, 43 CB Lopez St., Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines 4217.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Designs and develops products covering areas from conceptualization, development, simulation, prototyping and field tests, to eventual phase-into production taking into account inputs from clients, product managers, target consumers and manufacturers.

Responsibilities:
- Carries out detailed mechanical/electrical designs including 2D/3D modelling and visualization.
- Performs simulations as a necessary step in design validation.
- Test and validation of design before mass production.
- Responsible for preparing, presenting, and checking mechanical designs.
- Perform mechanical/electrical risks assessment and mitigation.
- Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner.
- Ensures the mechanical/electrical design output fits in with all other aspects of design.
- Regularly review department design processes and identify any required updates.
- Prepare mechanical drawings and specifications (2D and 3D) for manufacturing.
- Responsible for documentation
- Interface with Suppliers and Customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Computer Engineering).
- Willing to be trained.
- Experienced and Entry level applicants engineers are very much welcome.
- Knowledgeable in 2D/3D CAD using AutoCAD or other CAD application.
- Knowledge and skills in Solidworks, Inventor or Pro-E are a plus (company training to be conducted).
- Ability to understand/produce technical drawings.
- Has background on engineering design principles.
- Has keen attention to details.
- Highly motivated, pro-active, trainable and willing to continuously learn new concepts relevant to various aspects of product design and development.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Willing to work in Lipa, Batangas.
