Who Are We?
Nordic Quality is an extremely awesome, up-and-coming, online-based company selling physical products under several of our own brands. The main one of which is in the gym and fitness category.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a marketing & PR manager, who is awesome like us, to join the team. He/she will be working full-time for 40 hours a week and must have experience in following:
-Leading a team or working with a team;
-Coming up with cost-effective marketing strategies;
-Executing and tracking the progress of marketing campaigns and activities online;
-Knowledge on social media scheduling tools, such as Buffer, Sprout Social, MeetEdgar, etc.;
-Knowledge on analytics tools, such as Google Analytics;
-Knowledge on website optimization tools, such as Hotjar, etc.;
-Knowledge on SEO and CRM tools;
-Google Analytics certification (a big plus!).
A plus (but not a requirement):
-PR connections and contacts within the fitness industry
He/She must also have the following:
-Stable Internet connection (Having a backup is a plus!)
-A reliable laptop (Having a backup is a plus!)
-Headphones/earphones
He/She must also possess the following skills and competencies:
-Visual Ideation/Creativity/Originality
It is important for our ideal Marketing & PR Manager to be creative and have originality as it is a big part of his/her job.
-Ability to Work Under Pressure
Leading a team, working under a deadline, trying to reach goals are just a few of the sources of pressure that this individual would face. It is important that he/she knows how to deal with it.
-Ability to Motivate One’s Self
It would be great if he/she also has the ability to put himself/herself back on track when experiencing de-motivation
-Attention to Detail
It’s the little things that can make or break your success. The perfect candidate must have good attention to detail in order to prevent big problems within the team and also for him/her to be able to determine the little things that can be done to make things even better.
-Having Entrepreneurial Mindset
It is this mindset that will allow him/her to keep his mind and eyes open for great branding and marketing strategies and opportunities.
-Time Management Skills
Most of the time, if not always, the company’s Marketing and Advertising Department would be working under a deadline. It is important that the department manager has the ability to schedule tasks, set realistic deadlines, etc. in order for their goals to be met within the set time frame.
-Communication Skills
The perfect candidate must have stellar English skills. Team leader or not, it is important to have communication skills to keep things going smoothly. Of course, things do not always go the way you want them to, so communicating also plays a big part in problem solving.
-Interpersonal Skills
This skill comes in handy in both words - within the team and outside the team. It is important for the department manager to have people skills in order to have a harmonious relationship with the team, increasing productivity. Also, since he/she will also be in-charge of relations with prospective customers and relevant connections in the industry, he/she must be able to interact with them perfectly.
-Project Management, Analytical, and Decision Making Skills
As the department manager, it is this individual’s job to oversee processes, putting his project management, analytical, and decision making skills to use.
What would the tasks be?
-Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the Marketing and Advertising Department;
-Building and maintaining relationships with key and relevant members of the online community, especially ones related to the brand;
-Developing cost-efficient and reasonable marketing strategies in line with the company’s objectives - including campaigns, online events, digital marketing, and PR.
-Planning and implementing promotional campaigns, such as contests, giveaways, etc.
-Increasing the exposure of Nordic Lifting and other brands under Nordic Quality by planning, executing, managing and improving lead generation campaigns;
-Setting up tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities;
-Ensuring that the members of the Marketing and Advertising Department would reach their goals by overseeing the day-to-day activities;
-Working closely with the Product Development Department to define marketing programs;
-Collaborating with the Design Department for any content-related concern on marketing plans.
