Who You Are

You are highly proficient in the English language, and don't have a problem speaking it to discuss projects with clients. You may already have experience managing and maintaining website, although this is not required. You're high organized, able to remain productive while working unattended, and are exceptionally good at following step-by-step instructions. Using a checklist isn't foreign or off-putting to you, and because you want your work to always be the correct result, you're no stranger to checking it multiple times. You're a team player, can take and learn from constructive criticism, and it's important to you that your work isn't just complete each day, but that it's good, too.

What You Want Out Of Your Position

You're either currently unemployed and in search of a permanent, full-time writing position, or employed with a part time position and looking to trade that job for a full 40-hour, 5-day workweek. You would relish a stable position where you could work from home and set your own hours. You understand that being allowed to set your own hours means that you should consider the hours that you are most productive, and you know enough about yourself to recognize your strengths and weaknesses, which will help you plan accordingly.

Working Conditions

You have a stable Internet connection and reliable computer, and you use your computer knowing that the health of it directly affects your ability to remain employed. You're comfortable with having your activities on your computer tracked during (and only during) your work shift, as proof of your productivity.

You can follow instructions in great detail, and don't burn out performing the same or very similar tasks from day to day. When you have questions, you aren't afraid to ask. You can work at a steady pace while unattended, and are focused enough to not fall prey to distractions like Facebook, texting, instant messenger clients, etc., during your work period.

When you sit down to work, you're ready to go—you give a consistent performance regardless of your mood, and understand how to give your all on bad days. You understand the importance of having a life away from your computer, and as a result have hobbies you regularly indulge in that take you away from your desk.

What You'll Be Doing

As our front-end web developer, we will need you to be highly skilled with the following:

HTML (coded by hand, not in a code generator)
CSS (you must be able to read and edit it directly)
Bootstrap
Javascript

Our clients require websites for their projects. We need someone who is not only familiar with, but is highly skilled at turning PSDs into HTML pages, working with HTML, CSS, and Javascript by hand. There will be fast-paced days, frequent deadlines, and very little room for mistakes, but especially not repeated ones. If you are often told your work is sloppy, this isn't a position for you.

It is vital that the person holding this position be comfortable with learning and implementing new things, since we must be open minded in our approach to solving the problems that we encounter on a daily basis.
