Residential Cabinet Drafter, Kitchen and Bath Elevations from Architectural Plans

Overview
We are a custom cabinetry shop in Nashville, Tennessee. We take released architectural plan sets and produce the interior cabinet elevations that those sets do not include. We are hiring a drafter who knows residential cabinetry and can turn a complete plan set into clean, dimensioned cabinet elevations on a tight schedule. This is ongoing work. We run multiple projects at a time and we want a drafter we can rely on as a standing part of our process, not a one time hire.
The work
On a typical project we hand you a complete architectural set with floor plans, power plans, elevations, and sections. The set will not contain cabinet elevations. That is what you create. You will draw interior cabinet elevations for kitchens, islands, range walls, bath vanities, and other millwork areas, working entirely from the dimensions in the plans we provide.
Skills we require

Fluency in residential cabinet construction, including standard cabinet sizing, nomenclature, toe kick, counter and upper heights, crown, light rail, and filler logic.
The ability to read a full architectural set and pull dimensions accurately from floor plans, elevations, and sections.
Precision with appliance and fixture openings, clearances, and reveals, including the difference between a built cabinet and a freestanding furniture unit that needs an opening shown rather than a box.
Clean drafting discipline. Every elevation carries cabinet widths and heights, toe kick, counter height, upper cabinet heights, crown and light rail where they occur, appliance and fixture openings, and overall wall dimensions.
The judgment to flag a missing or conflicting dimension in a note rather than guessing. We would rather answer a question than correct a wrong assumption.
Comfort applying revisions we specify, such as adjusting a cabinet width or a clearance, and confirming those changes on the drawing.

Deliverables on every project

Dimensioned interior cabinet elevations for all cabinet areas in the set, delivered as both an editable CAD file and a PDF. We work in Cyncly and Mozaik, so a DWG or a clean PDF set is the priority, with the native file included. Tell us in your bid which platform you draw in.

Turnaround
Our projects move fast and many run on a 24 hour turnaround. Apply only if you can produce accurate work on a short clock and hold a stated deadline with confidence.
