UK Experienced ecommerce Accountant and bookeeper required

UK Accountant & Bookkeeper (Full-Time Remote)

We are looking for an experienced accountant/bookkeeper to join our growing UK e-commerce business on a long-term basis.

We are a UK Limited Company with an annual turnover of approximately £840,000, selling on Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, and our own website.

Responsibilities

Complete day-to-day bookkeeping.

Reconcile all sales channels.

Manage QuickBooks.

Work with Link My Books and WellyBox.

Prepare and submit UK VAT returns.

Manage Germany and Italy VAT bookkeeping and filings.

Prepare year-end accounts.

Prepare Corporation Tax information.

Manage Companies House filings.

Prepare accounts for two dormant UK companies.

Reconcile bank accounts, payment processors and supplier invoices.

Proactively identify legal tax-saving opportunities.

Actively look for ways to save the business money and reduce unnecessary costs.

Provide ongoing advice to improve profitability and cash flow.

Ensure all records are accurate and submitted on time.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping/accounting experience.

Excellent knowledge of UK accounting and tax.

Experience with UK Limited Companies.

Experience using QuickBooks.

Experience with Amazon and e-commerce bookkeeping.

Experience with UK VAT.

Germany and Italy VAT experience is highly desirable.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Honest, reliable, proactive and highly organised.

Must be willing to use Hubstaff to track working hours, activity, and tasks completed.

Must provide clear daily or weekly reports showing work completed and hours worked.

Must be proactive and regularly suggest tax savings, cost savings, and business improvements without being asked.
