Role Overview
The Cold Calling / Lead Generation Specialist will be responsible for outbound prospecting, cold calling,
This role is ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, organized, persistent, and comfortable reaching out to facility managers, warehouse managers, operations leaders, procurement teams, general contractors, property managers, and industrial companies.
You do not need to be an engineer or technical expert, but you must be willing to learn MTLI’s services and understand how to identify companies that may need warehouse, construction, racking, automation, relocation, or maintenance support.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify potential customers across Canada and the United States.
Cold call companies to introduce MTLI Group and identify potential project opportunities.
Book qualified meetings for the sales team.
Conduct
Build lead lists using online research, databases, company websites, LinkedIn, Google, industry directories, and other tools.
Identify decision-makers such as facility managers, operations managers, warehouse managers, plant managers, procurement teams, project managers, real estate teams, and executives.
Qualify prospects based on facility type, upcoming projects, expansion plans, relocation needs, racking needs, automation needs, maintenance needs, construction needs, and service fit.
Maintain accurate notes, contact details, follow-ups, and opportunity updates in the CRM.
Follow up consistently with prospects until meetings are booked or opportunities are disqualified.
Support sales campaigns for racking, automation, conveyor systems, mezzanines, facility moves, decommissions, industrial construction, and maintenance services.
Provide weekly updates on calls made,
Work closely with MTLI’s sales and leadership team to target the right industries and accounts.
Represent MTLI professionally in all customer communication.
Required Experience
Experience in cold calling, appointment setting, lead generation, SDR, BDR, inside sales, or outbound sales.
Strong phone communication skills.
Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls.
Ability to handle rejection and keep following up.
Strong written communication for
Organized and consistent with CRM updates and follow-ups.
Ability to research companies and find the right decision-makers.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Experience
Experience selling or prospecting in industrial, construction, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, automation, racking, material handling, facility services, or B2B services.
Experience calling facility managers, warehouse managers, operations managers, procurement teams, plant managers, property managers, or general contractors.
Experience using CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday, or similar tools.
Experience booking meetings for outside sales teams.
Experience working in a commission, bonus, or performance-based environment.
