Shopify E-commerce Operations & Marketing Coordinator (Full Time)

About Us

We are a small Australian coastal lifestyle and fashion company with 3 stores that have currently run independently. The brand is ready to begin its online journey, everything needs to be set up as a fresh start. However this brand has been operating in retail for 20 years. It’s unique because it’s owned and operated by its own fashion designer. We have a very sellable, beautiful range of women’s wear, which identifies with its on style. It’s very marketable- we are now looking for someone to do all the online side of this business. In the future there will be incentives of commission with successful sales and marketing. An opportunity to grow with the online business growth.

Our focus is quality clothing made from natural fibres with a relaxed surf and coastal lifestyle aesthetic.

We are looking for a long-term tea ---------- mber who will become an important part of our business, not just someone who completes tasks. You need to be creative, motivated, diverse. You will be working with the designer, her team and the designers vision. This will be a beautiful site and tastefully managed by the successful candidate. The plan is to now ‘share the designers story”

This is a full-time remote position with opportunities to grow into managing more of our online operations.

About the Role

You will become responsible for the day-to-day management of our Shopify website and online marketing.

Initially you will set up all the online sites to prepare for marketing. (Linking site to Epos system for stock is vital)

You will work directly with the owner and our retail staff to ensure our online store is always current, attractive and performing well.

You will often be given broad goals rather than detailed instructions, so you must enjoy solving problems and taking initiative.

Responsibilities

-Create base content on multiple new online marketing sites

• Upload new products into Shopify.

• Resize, crop and optimise product photographs.

• Write engaging product descriptions using AI and your own writing skills.

• Optimise products for SEO.

• Create collections and organise categories.

• Update homepage banners.

• Create landing pages.

• Schedule social media posts.

• Prepare email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo or Mailchimp.

• Liaise with our retail staff regarding photography requirements.

• Organise and manage product photography.

• Maintain inventory accuracy.

• Assist with linking Shopify to our POS/EPOS system.

• Install and configure Shopify Apps.

• Improve website speed and customer experience.

• Research competitors and fashion trends.

• Produce weekly reports showing sales, website traffic and marketing performance.

• Suggest ideas that will improve sales and customer experience.

Essential Experience

Minimum 2 years working with Shopify.

Excellent written English.

Experience with Canva.

Experience with ChatGPT or AI writing tools.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent organisational skills.

Reliable internet.

Able to work independently.

Highly Desirable

Fashion or apparel experience.

Klaviyo.

Meta Business Suite.

Basic Photoshop.

Google Analytics.

Shopify SEO.

Customer service.

Inventory management.
