Oil and Gas Landman

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and highly motivated Oil & Gas Landman to join our growing team. This role requires a professional with strong title expertise who can evaluate oil and gas activity, identify acquisition opportunities, and support strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities
? Conduct mineral and surface ownership research.
? Perform title examination using courthouse records, online databases, and proprietary software.
? Prepare ownership reports, runsheets, title summaries, and acquisition packages.
? Read, interpret, and analyze well logs, drilling reports, completion reports, production data, and related oil & gas information.
? Identify prospective exploration and acquisition opportunities by evaluating geological trends, drilling activity, production performance, and surrounding leasehold activity.
? Research and identify emerging plays, underdeveloped acreage, and areas with strong future development potential.
? Assist management in evaluating new prospect areas for leasing and acquisitions.
? Review deeds, probate records, leases, assignments, easements, and other land documents.
? Resolve title defects and ownership discrepancies.
? Maintain accurate ownership databases and project records.
? Collaborate with lease buyers, geologists, engineers, attorneys, and clients.
? Support leasing, due diligence, acquisitions, and divestiture projects across multiple states.
