ABOUT THE ROLE
I run a US-based wholesale and e-commerce business and I am building a content channel around it. I am launching a daily short-form video presence (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) plus a long-form YouTube channel. I need one editor who can own both.
This is a long-term role. I am not looking for a one-off project. I want someone I can work with for years as the channel grows.
You will be editing real footage of me and my actual business operations. The content is authentic and operator-driven, not generic talking-head fluff, so I need an editor who understands pacing, hooks, and retention, not just someone who can make cuts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will edit one short-form video per day on most days (this is the core of the role). You will also edit longer YouTube videos (8 to 20 minutes) on a weekly or biweekly basis. You will add captions, sound design, b-roll, and on-screen text. You will send me short notes on what is and is not working in my footage so my filming improves over time. You will manage your own file organization and hit consistent deadlines without me chasing you.
WHAT I REQUIRE
Fluent, natural written and spoken English. This is non-negotiable. You will be reading scripts, understanding US humor and references, and giving me feedback in English. If your English is not strong, this role is not for you.
Proven short-form editing experience with view counts or case studies you can show me. I want to see videos you edited that performed, not just a generic reel.
Long-form YouTube editing experience, including structuring for retention.
Comfort with fast daily turnaround on short-form.
The ability to give creative feedback, not just execute. If I hand you weak footage, I want you to tell me why it is weak and how to fix it next time.
Reliable internet and your own editing setup (Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, or similar).
NICE TO HAVE
Experience editing for personal brands or founders. Familiarity with US business or e-commerce content. Basic motion graphics or animated captions.
HOW TO APPLY
Read this carefully, because I will ignore any application that does not follow it.
Start your reply with the word "Mega" so I know you read the full post.
Send links to two short-form videos and one long-form video you personally edited. Tell me what you did on each and how it performed.
In three or four sentences, tell me about a piece of content you edited that did NOT perform well, and what you would do differently. I care more about this answer than the highlight reel.
Tell me your weekly availability and your rate.
Strong applicants will be sent raw footage to cut as a trial before being fully hired.
