Technical VA

We are a small, passionate seed saving online retail business based in Western Australia ( ---------- ). We grow and sell open-pollinated seeds and are on a mission to educate and inspire people to grow their own food, save seeds and reconnect with nature. We are a values-led, purpose-driven business and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the technical side of things so we can focus on hands on tasks on the farm.

What We Need Help With

We have two immediate tasks to get started, with ongoing work to follow for the right person:

Task 1 — Microsoft Publisher to Canva Conversion

Convert a collection of (approx. 600) small Microsoft Publisher files (.pub) to PDF
Upload and rebuild/edit them in Canva ready for use

Task 2 — Mailchimp Domain Authentication

Our website is already verified with Mailchimp
We need someone to complete the full domain authentication process — setting up CNAME and DMARC records in our domain DNS settings to improve email deliverability

Please provide a brief estimate of how long you expect each of the initial tasks to take, based on your experience

Ongoing Tasks (for the right person)
Creating online product descriptions
General Mailchimp setup — email sequences, automations and list building
Website integrations and automations
General technical marketing backend support as needed

What We're Looking For
Strong experience with Mailchimp including domain authentication and email automations
Comfortable working with DNS settings and domain records
Proficient in Canva
Familiar with website integrations and automation tools (Zapier or similar)
Good written English and clear communication
Available during Australian business hours at least part of the time for occasional calls or check-ins — this is important to us

The Details

Freelance/contractor position
Part-time and flexible — we are task and project based rather than fixed hours
