JOB OVERVIEW

The client is seeking a talented and creative Marketing Assistant to join their team. This position will play a crucial role in enhancing the brand's online presence through graphic design and social media management. As a Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for creating eye-catching visuals, managing our social media channels, and assisting with paid advertising campaigns.

Job Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Graphic Design
• Create visually appealing graphics and designs for both digital and print materials, including social media posts, banners, flyers, brochures, and promotional materials.
• Ensure all design work adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent and professional appearance.
• Support and coordinate with the Operations / Sales Team with any collateral requests or requirements when required for conferences and expos

Social Media
• Creation and management of regular business posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn channels.
• Manage and maintain our company's social media profiles, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Create and schedule engaging and relevant content for regular posting to increase brand visibility and engagement.
• Monitor social media trends and implement strategies to optimize our social media presence.
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with the development and execution of paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
• Work closely with the product coordinator to develop marketing campaign, advertising and channel partner concepts.
• Provide support on acquisition campaigns, CRM initiatives / lifecycle management, seasonal campaigns and always-on advertising.
• Manage and facilitate edits or updates across all owned, earned and paid assets – extending to channel partner travel assets (portals).

EDM (Electronic Direct Mail/Email Marketing)
• Coordinate eDM program & scheduling across all brands. Inclusive of managing always-on eDM calendar, segmentation initiatives such as our VIP Program, and overall performance reporting.

Website Management
• Edit and develop website content in line with the brands overarching content & SEO strategy. Make updates that align with digital best practice and ensure site is optimized.
• Develop reporting and monitor performance of activations and amplifications across all partners and brands, inclusive of Google Analytics tracking and analysis.

Team
• Develop and foster cross-functional team approach, providing marketing support across all business and partner units.
• Participate in tea ---------- etings, team planning, development and strategy workshops or sessions.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:

Essential
• At least 2-3 years in a similar role
• Understand and have the ability to apply BTL (Below-the-Line) marketing / digital concepts, visual identity, brand strategy and positioning and message development skills
• Strong understanding of campaign management
• Proficient in CRM software, e.g. Hubspot
• Functional understanding of Facebook Ads and Business Manager, Instagram, and LinkedIn
• Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related matters
• At least 2 years working with travel or retail preferred in a campaign, digital or advertising capacity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work well under pressure with often competing deadlines
• Excellent time management
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and comfortable with working in a fluid new-business style environment that scales quickly
• Proficient across SEO Tools, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AdWords and affiliated reporting software or platforms

Preferred
• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing

• Previous experience in the travel, leisure and tourism industry
• Previous experience in travel / tourism in a marketing capacity
• Proficient in Adobe Suite and Canva
