AI Automation Specialist (n8n + AI Agents) — Long-Term, Work From Home

We're an Australian MSP building serious AI automation into how we (and our clients) run. We already run a self-hosted n8n instance, an AI gateway (OpenClaw), LibreChat, and local LLMs on a Mac Studio. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves this stuff and wants to build real automations end-to-end — not just follow a tutorial once.

What you'll be doing


Designing and building automations in n8n (multi-step workflows, error handling, webhooks, custom logic)
Connecting LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, OpenRouter) into real workflows via our AI gateway
Building and refining AI agents to handle support, admin, reconciliation and reporting tasks
Integrating apps and APIs — Xero, Microsoft 365, NinjaOne, HaloPSA and others
Writing clean prompts and agent instructions that actually work reliably
Documenting what you build so the rest of the team can use it


What we're looking for


Strong hands-on experience with n8n (or Make/Zapier, but n8n is what we use)
Comfortable with LLM APIs and prompt engineering
Some scripting ability (Python or JavaScript) — enough to write custom functions and parse JSON
Understands webhooks, REST APIs and authentication
Excellent written English and clear spoken English
Reliable, self-managing, and genuinely curious about AI
