I'm a UK-based business owner running a marketing consultancy. I need a sharp, proactive personal assistant to handle the lifestyle and operational tasks that keep me functional — so I can focus on running my businesses without spending my time on admin, research, and scheduling.
Pay: $560/month
Hours: ~7 to 10 per week
Start: ASAP
This is a long-term, recurring role. If you do good work, this is stable monthly income for as long as you want it.
What you'll actually be doing
A mix of operational and lifestyle tasks. Some examples of typical requests:
Travel: "Book me a flight London Gatwick to Larnaca next Friday returning Tuesday, prefer morning departures, business class." You handle the research, options, booking, calendar entry, confirmation tracking.
Property: "Find me 5 three-bed houses in Limassol with a pool, under €1.2m. Send a shortlist with photos, prices, and key details." You compile the shortlist.
Weekend trips: "Plan a long weekend in Athens. Hotel, 3 dinners, 2 day activities, total budget €3k." You design the itinerary.
Restaurants: "Find me the best Mediterranean restaurants in Nicosia under €100/head with outdoor seating." You research and send a shortlist with reservations links.
Schedule management: Keep my calendar organized, block out focus time, reschedule conflicts proactively, remind me of upcoming commitments before I forget them.
Operational support: Track recurring deadlines (passport renewals, business filings, subscription reviews), maintain my contact lists, manage personal admin.
The role evolves — what's repetitive becomes automated, new things get added. You need to be the kind of person who builds the system, not the kind who waits to be told.
What separates a great applicant from a mediocre one
The best PA I've worked with thinks two steps ahead. If I ask for a flight, they include a hotel option too. If I'
If that sounds like how you naturally operate, this role will work for you. If you need a detailed brief for every single task, it won't.
What you need to have
Required:
Excellent written English — you'll be drafting
Strong research skills — comfortable finding flights, properties, restaurants, services across multiple platforms
Highly organized — Google Calendar, Notion, basic spreadsheets, project tracking
Timezone overlap — must be available during UK working hours (most of your work day overlaps GMT/BST or CET)
Discretion — you'll know personal details. Stay professional.
Proactive personality — you anticipate, you don't wait to be asked
Bonus (will move you to the top):
Previous experience supporting a founder, CEO, or high-net-worth individual
Travel planning experience (booking platforms, loyalty programs, international logistics)
Familiarity with UK or European geography, restaurants, and culture
Experience with property research (RightMove, Bayut, Zillow, etc.)
Schengen / European travel knowledge
What I'm NOT looking for
"I can do anything" applications with no specifics
VAs who need step-by-step instructions for every task
Anyone who can't handle ambiguity ("Find me a good restaurant" should not result in 47 follow-up questions)
Generic copy-paste applications
