JOB OVERVIEW

About Me / About the Role

I'm Michael, filmmaker and founder of Nice Films in South Tyrol, Italy. Alongside my client work, I produce a recurring kids' music video series for YouTube — a 2D hand-drawn cartoon style with anthropomorphic vehicles and animal characters, made for kids aged 3–7.

I'm looking for a skilled remote AI video artist and editor to produce these videos end to end. I lead the creative side: I send you the story, the song (in English and German), a rough structure with the scenes I have in mind, character reference sheets and other assets. Your job is to generate the keyframes and animations with AI tools and then edit the complete ~3–4 minute music video in DaVinci Resolve — keeping the characters perfectly consistent throughout.

This is not a one-off gig: I'm looking for someone to make these videos for us on a long-term, ongoing basis.

Our Channels (see what we've made so far)

You can watch the videos we've produced so far here:

- German channel: ----------
- English channel: ----------

Responsibilities

- Generate the keyframes in Nano Banana based on the story, scene briefs and character reference sheets I provide. This is what we currently use and it works best for us — a different image model is fine as long as the quality is right.
- Animate the shots in Kling (2.6 or Omni) from the keyframes, following the camera and motion direction. Kling currently gives us the best results for this type of video.
- Keep the characters 100% on-model and consistent across all frames and shots
- Use the assets I provide (story, song, scene structure, character reference sheets).
- Edit the complete music video in DaVinci Resolve from the rough structure and scenes I send you. Videos are about 3–4 minutes long.
- Cut the edit to the song. The song exists in English and German — you can edit to either version, the content is the same.
- Send the finished DaVinci Resolve project back to us, together with all generated keyframes and animations.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience generating images with Nano Banana (Gemini) or a comparable AI image model with strong, consistent quality.
- Hands-on experience animating with Kling (2.6 or Omni), or a very strong equivalent for this cartoon style.
- Solid editing skills in DaVinci Resolve: cutting to music, pacing, rhythm and clean, well-organized timelines.
- Strong eye for character consistency and detail — spotting and fixing deformations, extra limbs and design drift.
- Understanding of basic cinematic shot language (wide, close-up, detail, dolly in/out, tracking).
- Ability to follow detailed prompt templates and hard rules precisely (e.g. no human hands/arms on vehicles, no text in the image).
- Fast internet connection and a reliable computer; access to (or willingness to subscribe to) the required AI tools.
- Reliable, independent worker with clear communication. English is enough.

Workload & Pay

- We currently need about 4 videos per month. This may increase in the future.
- From our experience, one video is doable in about 6 hours, so you should not need more than 8 hours per video.
- Our proposal: $6/hour plus $52 for the AI credits per video — so about $100 per video.

How to Apply

Please reply with:
- Your best AI video example that you made yourself (generation + edit), ideally character-based and consistent across multiple shots.
- A short description of your workflow: which AI tools you use for images and animation, and how you edit.
- We'd prefer to agree on a fixed price per video. We pay you for 8 hours per video — no matter how long you actually need — plus $50 for the AI credits. (From our experience that's more than enough; we generally need quite a bit fewer credits.)

Home Assignment (Test)

You'll receive a short briefing with all assets and scene descriptions.

Your task: produce the first 30 seconds of the song as a finished video. Send me the video, the DaVinci Resolve project, and all keyframes and animations you created, so that I can open the project too.

This test assignment is unpaid.
