Junior WordPress Designer & Developer (Long-Term Position)

We are an established Canadian company in the arts and events industry seeking a talented and motivated Junior WordPress Designer & Developer to join our team long-term.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on creative projects involving live events, e-commerce, art, and entertainment. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and build beautiful digital experiences.

About the Role

You will help build and maintain websites related to:

Art galleries
Live events
E-commerce stores
Artist profiles
Creative brands
Future expansion projects

This position starts with building a new website platform and may expand into ongoing work across multiple brands.

Responsibilities
Design and build WordPress websites
Create modern and mobile-friendly pages
Configure and maintain WooCommerce stores
Build event pages and product pages
Upload content and images
Optimize website speed and performance
Implement website security best practices
Perform backups and updates
Assist with SEO implementation
Work with AI tools to improve productivity
What We're Looking For
Experience with WordPress
Familiarity with WooCommerce
Good design sense and attention to detail
Experience with Figma or similar design tools is an asset
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and take feedback well
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT is a plus

Compensation

?20,000–25,000 PHP per month depending on experience, portfolio, and performance.

This is a long-term position with opportunities for salary increases and additional responsibilities as our brands continue to grow.

Hours

20 hours per week.

Flexible scheduling is available as long as deadlines and responsibilities are met.
