Job Title: Virtual Assistant / Video Editor for TikTok Shop (Beginner Friendly)

About the Role

I am looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help me with basic video editing for my TikTok Shop account. The tasks are super simple, and beginners are more than welcome to apply! I will provide the raw clips, and your job will be to make quick, basic edits to get them ready for posting.

Responsibilities

The two most important parts of this job are the following, and they should be your main focus with every video:

1. Cut out all dead space between clips. The videos need to be fast-paced and tight. Any pauses, gaps, or slow ---------- nts between clips must be removed so the viewer stays engaged from start to finish. Retention is everything on TikTok, and a well-paced edit is the number one priority.

2. Add plenty of overlays and photos throughout the video. You will be finding and inserting relevant images and overlays consistently throughout each video to keep the viewer visually stimulated and watching. The more engaging the visuals, the better.

In addition to the above, you will also add a few brief onscreen text captions throughout the video to summarize key points. These do not need to be excessive — just enough to reinforce what is being said and help viewers who are watching without sound.

Requirements

The main technical requirement for this job is that you must have a smartphone capable of downloading and running TikTok Studio. All editing will be done using this specific app, which is completely free and very easy to use.

No advanced editing experience is required, and beginners are absolutely fine! You just need to be willing to learn, follow simple instructions, and have a reliable internet connection to receive raw clips and upload the finished videos.

Pay & Schedule

The pay rate for this position is $4.00 USD per hour, paid weekly. You will be required to keep a timesheet logging your hours worked each day, which will be used to calculate your weekly payment.

In terms of workload, I typically produce between 4 and 9 videos per day. The editing tasks are intentionally simple, so you should be able to comfortably complete around 4 videos per hour. On a typical day, this means the work will take you roughly 1 to 2.5 hours to complete.

Workflow

Raw video clips will be shared with you through a shared Google Drive folder. You will download the clips, edit them using TikTok Studio on your phone, and then re-upload the finished videos back to the same Google Drive folder. No complicated file-sharing tools — just a simple, straightforward process.

All edited videos must be returned within 24 hours of receiving the raw clips. For example, if I send you the clips on Monday, I need them back by Tuesday. This turnaround time is essential so I can maintain a consistent daily posting schedule.
