Youtube Editor -Long form (Long-Term Opportunity)

This is a long-term position with opportunities for raises and performance bonuses based on quality, reliability, turnaround time, and channel growth.

### Expected Workload

We are looking for an editor who can consistently edit approximately 10-15 long-form videos per month.

The exact workload may vary depending on channel needs.

### About Us

We operate multiple faceless YouTube channels focused on:

* History
* Economics
* Geopolitics
* Business History
* Documentary Storytelling

We are looking for a skilled editor who understands viewer retention and can transform a script and voice-over into an engaging documentary-style video.

### Important

**This position is not for basic video editing. We are looking for editors who can create engaging documentary-style videos by combining storytelling, research, footage sourcing, graphics, music, and pacing.**

### What We Provide

For each video, we will provide:

* Complete script
* Voice-over recording
* Reference YouTube video(s)
* Creative direction and feedback

### Your Responsibilities

* Edit high-retention YouTube videos (10–30 minutes)
* Source relevant stock footage, photos, maps, graphics, animations, and B-roll
* Add text, motion graphics, zooms, transitions, and visual storytelling elements
* Select appropriate background music and sound effects
* Follow the editing style of our reference videos
* Deliver projects on schedule
* Revise videos based on feedback when necessary

### Requirements

* Strong experience editing YouTube videos
* Excellent storytelling and pacing skills
* Ability to keep viewers engaged throughout long-form content
* Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
* Ability to independently source visuals and assets
* Reliable communication and attention to detail
* Good English comprehension

### Preferred Experience: Comfortable creating/editing longform videos

### Final Selection Process

To be considered for this position, shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a 60-second sample edit using a script, voice-over recording, and reference video that we provide.

The purpose of this test is to evaluate:

* Storytelling ability
* Editing style
* Visual sourcing skills
* Pacing and viewer retention
* Sound design
* Attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions
