Hi, I'm Javi Gonzalez, Founder of Smartzilla.

Smartzilla is a U.S.-based marketing and AI company that helps businesses grow through content, automation, AI, and digital marketing systems.

I'm building a long-term team and looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, take ownership, and make a real impact.

You'll work across multiple brands and projects, so no two weeks are exactly the same. If you enjoy variety, creativity, AI, and bringing ideas to life, you'll thrive in this role.

This Is Not a Typical VA Job

I'm not looking for an assistant.

I'm looking for an execution partner.

Every week I come up with ideas for campaigns, products, content, tools, and growth initiatives. I need someone who can take those ideas, research them, improve them, organize them, and help bring them to life.

I don't expect you to replace me as the strategist.

Instead, I'm looking for someone who naturally thinks:

"I researched your idea and found a way to make it even better."

I'm hiring someone who can become my trusted right hand over the next several years.

Your Mission

Turn ideas into action.

Help transform rough concepts into polished marketing campaigns, engaging content, and real business results through AI, creativity, research, and strong execution.

Responsibilities
AI Research & Strategy Support
Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI tools regularly
Research topics that build authority and organic traffic
Analyze competitors and identify opportunities
Expand rough ideas into stronger concepts
Help turn brainstorms into actionable marketing plans
Content & Social Media
Plan and manage content calendars
Create engaging social media content
Repurpose content across multiple platforms
Schedule and organize publishing
Help keep multiple brands active and consistent
Social Video Editing
Edit short-form videos for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn, and similar platforms
Add captions and clean edits
Turn one recording into multiple pieces of content
Graphics & Creative
Create graphics using Canva or any comparable design platform
Design thumbnails and supporting marketing visuals
Marketing Execution
Keep content projects organized and moving forward
Coordinate publishing schedules and marketing tasks
Help document repeatable workflows
Suggest ways AI and automation can improve efficiency
Learn new tools quickly when needed

Basic SEO or content marketing knowledge
Familiarity with marketing platforms or CRMs

These are nice bonuses, but I'd rather hire someone with the right mindset and initiative than the perfect résumé.

Compensation
Starting salary: $1,000 USD/month (full-time)
