JOB OVERVIEW

Ji Martial Arts is a premium martial arts performance brand founded by brothers Joshua and Joel Iyalla — elite martial artists with over 35 years of combined experience and a combined social following of 3.5 million. Our founder Joshua Iyalla holds three Guinness World Records, including the world's fastest puncher. UFC fighter Michael "Venom" Page uses and endorses our product.
We are full-time content creators with over 10 years of combined industry experience. We understand content deeply and we know immediately when something is off. We need an editor who operates at that same level — someone who does not need to be taught what good looks like, because they already know.

THE ROLE
We are hiring a full-time Facebook Ads Video Editor to produce high-converting ad creatives for our flagship product — the Ji Full Body Resistance Band — and future products as we scale.
This is a full-time, long-term position. We are not looking for someone fitting us around another job or treating this as a side project. We want someone who is fully in — someone who wakes up thinking about performance, creative, and output. If that is not you, this role is not for you.

WHAT THIS ROLE DEMANDS
This is not a role where you edit one style of ad on repeat. Our creatives span 5 to 10 distinct formats — from cinematic brand storytelling to fast-cut UGC, pattern interrupts, testimonial-style edits, hook-driven direct response, and more. You will move fluidly between all of them, bringing your own creative instinct to every brief.
The minimum output expectation is 21 video ad creatives per week. That is the floor, not the ceiling. As you bed into our system and workflow, output will naturally grow — and we will support that. We are not here to pile pressure on from day one. We are here to build something long-term with the right person.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Monitor our Notion pipeline and begin editing as soon as cards move to Needs Editing — you will be notified via WhatsApp
Own and manage our Airtable raw clips library and Google Drive — both are linked, and it is your responsibility to keep them organised, log new clips, apply the correct tags, and ensure every asset is accounted for across both platforms. You will know where everything lives
Edit across multiple ad formats and styles, applying your own creative judgement on music, SFX, pacing, and effects
Generate AI voiceovers using ElevenLabs and upload finished edits to Google Drive following our naming conventions
Attend a weekly tea ---------- eting and action revision feedback promptly and without hand-holding

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

-Proven, demonstrable experience editing Facebook and Instagram ads specifically — not just short-form content, not just Reels. Actual paid ads. A portfolio is required; applications without one will not be reviewed
-Full proficiency in CapCut — this is non-negotiable. We do not use any other editing software. If you are not on CapCut, do not apply
-A genuine understanding of consumer psychology and buying behaviour — you know why hooks work, why pacing matters, and why the first 2 seconds determine everything
-The ability to work proactively and intuitively — you notice what needs doing before being told, you bring ideas without being asked, and you take ownership without needing hand-holding
-Full-time availability and complete focus — no other jobs, no split attention, no divided priorities
-Familiarity with AI UGC tools and the ability to create AI-generated UGC content is a bonus — not required, but candidates who bring this will stand out

You are not just passionate about editing — you are obsessed with what makes ads perform. You study creatives that win. You pull apart what works and why. You are always looking to improve, always paying attention to what is moving in the market, and you bring that energy into every edit without being prompted.
We are not looking for someone we have to manage. We are looking for someone who manages themselves, raises the standard of what we produce, and makes our output better simply by being part of the team.
This is not a trait you can fake and it is not something we can teach. Either you have it or you do not.

You have never edited a paid ad
You do not edit in CapCut
You only work in one style or format
You have another job and are treating this as secondary
You need assets handed to you before you can start
You need to be told what good pacing looks like
You cannot commit to full-time hours and full-time focus

Ji Martial Arts is scaling fast. The right editor will grow with us — in responsibility, in creative ownership, and in earnings. Base salary starts at $1,500/month with performance bonuses on top. When our ads win, you win. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a brand that has the audience, the product, and the infrastructure to go very large.
