You will take raw footage, product assets, and concepts, and turn them into scroll-stopping video ads. If you are someone who waits to be told exactly what to do every morning, this is not the role for you. We need a modern, conversion-focused editor who understands the anatomy of a winning Meta ad and naturally incorporates AI tools into their workflow to work faster and produce better creative assets.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct Response Video Editing: Edit, format, and export fast-paced, highly engaging video ads optimized specifically for
- AI Workflow Integration: Utilize cutting-edge AI tools (such as ElevenLabs for voiceovers, Seedance/Kling for asset generation, Runway/Pika for b-roll, or advanced AI captioning tools) to enhance ad quality and speed up production time.
- Hook & Angle Testing: Relentlessly focus on the first 3 seconds of the video. You will cut multiple hook variations for every core video concept to help us systematically test and scale what works.
- Creative Iteration: Take our current "winning" ads and find ways to iterate on them—swapping b-roll, changing text overlays, or adjusting pacing to combat ad fatigue and improve click-through rates (CTR) and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Asset Management: Keep project files, raw footage, and final exports highly organized and easily accessible for the broader marketing team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Meta Ad Editing is Mandatory: You must have a deep understanding of direct response marketing on Meta. You know how to pace an ad, use engaging text overlays, design pattern-interrupting hooks, and drive viewers to a clear call-to-action.
- AI Tool Experience is Mandatory: You are not just a traditional video editor; you are an "AI-native" creator. You must be comfortable using AI platforms to generate voiceovers, source/create dynamic b-roll, and streamline your editing process.
- Video Portfolio Required: A proven track record of editing profitable e-commerce video ads. We want to see your actual direct response work, not cinematic short films or wedding videos.
- Software Proficiency: Expert in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut PC, or similar, alongside your AI tool stack.
- Proactive Attitude: You naturally spot trends on TikTok/IG Reels and bring new visual hooks, audio trends, and campaign ideas to the table without being asked.
- Reliable Setup: High-speed internet connection (with a backup plan) and a reliable computer capable of handling 4K video editing and rendering smoothly.
Nice-to-Haves (Not Mandatory)
- Creative Strategist Experience: The ability to research competitors, write high-converting video ad scripts, and conceptualize entirely new marketing angles from scratch.
- Prior experience working with sleep-tech, premium home goods, or specific water-based cooling products.
