Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to complement our growing team. You will be working within a fast paced team focused on creating consumer PC security/antivirus products. This is a pioneering role and will be in line with the company’s goals of diversifying our offerings. You are required to fulfill your duties and responsibilities in accordance to industry-accepted processes and guidelines.


Duties:

• Design highly efficient OOP code within a multi-threaded and multi-process environment
• Write highly reliable, extensible and reusable application code
• Leverage established design patterns
• Develop professional software that adheres to coding standards
• Be involved and excel in solving complex problems, generate ideas and deliver successful software systems
• Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, work with cross functional teams to achieve goals
• Ensures that documentation related to specific modules/applications is correct and up to date
• Actively look for innovation and continuous improvement, efficiency in all assigned tasks
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time and delivery timelines are met as per quality targets of the organization
• Investigates issues by reviewing/debugging code, provides fixes (analyze and fix bugs) and workarounds, reviews changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree holder in any IT-related field
• 4+ years experience in similar capacity
• Strong working background on developing cross platform desktop applications
• Strong working knowledge and experience in programming languages and platforms like Python, Javascript, and Electron
• Have experience on frontend development that utilizes HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript
• Knowledgeable about other programming languages like C, C++, C#, .NET, Visual Basic
• Experience in developing antivirus or browser applications is an advantage but not a hard requirement
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (such as SCRUM, Kanban, etc.)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Display decisive initiative and accountability
• Very good communication skills and time management skills
• Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions
• Sound interpersonal and team working skills
• Experience in leading a team is an advantage
