We are an established brick-and-mortar and online music store based in Southern California, serving musicians, students, schools, and band programs since 1987. We sell, rent, repair, and teach across a full range of instruments. We are an authorized dealer for several major music brands and carry a strong used and consignment inventory that moves constantly. Full company details are shared with candidates who advance past the first round.
We are looking for an experienced Marketplace & SEO Manager (MSM) to drive traffic and attributed online sales through social media, marketplace listings, Google Business Profile, and Google Shopping.
We are a serious, growing business looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term. Honesty and integrity are non-negotiable. Any misrepresentation of skills or experience will result in immediate disqualification.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Facebook
- Post 2-3 times per week (products, promos, store updates)
- Create at least 1 Reel per week
- Run paid ad campaigns after manager approval
- Respond to comments and DMs within 24 hours
- Submit weekly performance reports
Facebook
- List 2-3 used or featured instruments per week
- Monitor buyer messages daily
- Refresh listings weekly to maintain visibility
Google Business Profile
- Post 1 weekly update
- Draft review responses for manager approval
- Upload photos monthly
- Monitor and report GBP insights weekly
Google Shopping
- Set up and manage Google Merchant Center free listings
- Coordinate product feed with online store manager
- Monitor and fix disapproved listings weekly
COMPENSATION:
- $3.00/hour
- Hours will increase as the online store grows — this is a long-term growth opportunity
- No commission Days 1-30 (onboarding period)
- Day 31+: 1% commission on attributed online sales
- Month 6: Probation end review — potential bonus based on online store performance
- Month 12: 1.5% commission maximum
- Holiday bonus: Christmas, based on online sales performance
- Annual review: your hire date anniversary
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years experience in
- Google Ads or Google Shopping experience preferred
- Strong written English
- UTM tracking and attribution experience
- Organized, reliable, and responsive
- Must reply within 24 hours on all work days
- Flexible availability — able to adjust schedule based on store needs, campaign deadlines, and rental season peaks (August-September)
- All stated experience must be truthful and verifiable — we will ask about it
TEAM STRUCTURE:
- You will work closely with our Online Store Manager (OSM) on a daily basis
- OSM manages MusicShop360, inventory, orders, and Reverb listings
- MSM drives traffic to those listings from external channels
- Strong communication and collaboration with OSM is essential
- Both roles report to the Operations Manager and are peers — no hierarchy between them
- Teamwork is critical — both OSM and MSM commission is tied to online sales performance. The better you work together, the more you both earn.
