JOB OVERVIEW

NEW LISTING TO APPLY (OPEN): https://www.onlinejobs.ph/jobseekers/job/10hour-ShortForm-Video-Editor--Content-Scheduler-TikTokReels ---------- THIS ONE HAD TO BE CLOSED.

-------------------

Hi, I'm Andrew. I run two e-commerce brands and a personal channel. Yesterday alone, one video I created hit 2M+ views on IG, and I'm looking for a coachable long-term video editor to keep the virality spree going. You'll be directly tasked with creating content for brands with a combined 30,000+ followers and an algorithm that's currently on fire. You will be making a real impact.

The deal:
- $10 USD/hour via Hubstaff, growing as the role grows
- Paid every 2 weeks via Wise, on time
- Pro-rated 13th month bonus every December
- Long-term role with growing hours and responsibilities
- Paid 2-week trial period before formal long-term hiring

The role starts at 10 hrs/week. It will grow toward full-time as we continue to scale and I trust you more and more.

I keep my people: I have another VA who's been with me for over a year. She started at 30 minutes a week and now works 20-30 hours a week with multiple raises along the way. When I say long-term and growing, I mean it.

Schedule: Flexible on when you work. What matters is the posting calendar: videos edited, scheduled, and live on time, every day.

~80% short-form content, ~10% long-form content, ~10% scheduling said content

To be clear: short-form IS this role. If you're elite at short-form and just decent at long-form, you're exactly who I'm looking for. If long-form explainers are your specialty, this isn't your job.

What you'll do:
- Edit short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) for my brands: hooks, captions, pacing, sound
- Main work entails working with AI-generated video clips (Higgsfield) and making viral short-form content: assembling, polishing, and making them feel native to the platform
- Schedule and publish all content via Metricool across multiple accounts
- Follow and improve our content SOPs (hook formulas, caption styles, what's working)
- Secondary task: edit my personal channel. 5-10 minute talking-head videos plus shorts, 1-2 per week, simple clean style
- Communicate with me daily via WhatsApp (async, I don't expect instant replies)
- Take on new responsibilities as the business grows

Hard skills required (short-form specific):
- Elite short-form editing in CapCut: hooks that stop the scroll in under 1 second, pacing that holds retention, captions and sound that feel native to the platform
- You can look at a video's first 3 seconds and tell me why it will or won't get pushed by the algorithm
- A track record editing for TikTok/Reels/Shorts specifically. Show me, don't tell me.
- You watch short-form daily and know the difference between an amazing video, a good one, and a bad one
- Comfortable with Metricool (or willing to learn quickly)
- Good written English, reliable internet, and a machine that can handle editing

Soft skills required:

- Highly coachable: I'll teach you our brand styles, hook formulas, and workflows. Learn fast and ask good questions.
- Detail-oriented: a typo in a caption or a video posted to the wrong account costs real money
- Consistent: this role lives and dies on the posting schedule
- Has taste: you should have opinions about why a video is boring and how to fix it

How to apply: No skills test, no essay. Just message me the link to one Loom video, covering these things. 5 minutes max or you will be disqualified. Being concise is crucial in this role, refilm if needed:

- About yourself. Your short-form editing experience and why you fit this role
- One thing that actually makes you you (a weird hobby, a strong opinion, your worst cooking disaster, anything but "I'm passionate about editing")
- Screen-share 1-2 short-form videos you've edited that performed well (TikTok/Reels/Shorts, NOT long-form explainers, those will be ignored) and walk me through: why that hook, why that cut, what you'd change now. Show me the timeline. If you've run accounts with big view counts, drop those links too.
- Please attach your portfolio via Google Drive if you have it. If not OK. Loom is the most important part.

One real ask: don't run this through ChatGPT and read it off a script. I can tell instantly, it's painfully obvious, and it looks exactly like every other application. I'd genuinely rather watch you fumble through a real answer than nail a robotic one. Be a person, get creative, go off-script. There are no rules here, I just want it from the heart. I will watch every single Loom. Impress me, be different, and be creative!
