About Us
Renurture Behavioral Health is a U.S. California-based psychiatric and behavioral health practice. We provide thoughtful, patient-centered care and value accuracy, discretion, and calm communication.
We are looking for a detail-oriented remote healthcare admin who is organized, punctual, proactive about follow-through, and comfortable handling billing, insurance verification, and patient scheduling for a busy telehealth practice.
Responsibilities
-Verify patient insurance eligibility before appointments and flag issues proactively
-Bill and collect copays and outstanding balances in a timely manner
-Track accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid balances until resolved
-Call patients to reschedule canceled or missed appointments
-Support insurance billing workflows (claims tracking, denials follow-up, eligibility checks)
-Assist with prior authorizations (submitting requests, tracking status, follow-ups)
-Maintain accurate records in our EHR and Google Workspace
-Track open tasks and follow through until resolution
-Escalate unresolved billing or insurance issues appropriately
Required Skills & Experience
-Strong written and spoken English (clear, professional, calm under pressure)
-Experience with U.S. insurance verification and/or medical billing
-High attention to detail — you catch discrepancies and don't let things fall through the cracks
-Comfort handling sensitive information (HIPAA mindset)
-Reliable internet and a quiet, professional work environment
-Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM Pacific Time
Nice to Have (Not Required)
-Prior authorization or claims denial experience
-Experience with EHRs and insurance portals (specifically Tebra/Kareo)
-Familiarity with Google Workspace
-Background in behavioral health or outpatient clinic admin
