## About the Role

I'm the founder of PARA//EL. (getparallel.vip) — a new compatibility-first dating app launching in the US. I create short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels and need a skilled editor to help me produce polished, on-brand videos consistently.

This is a long-term part-time role. I'm looking for someone I can grow with as the app scales.

## What You'll Be Editing

- Talking head videos — me speaking to camera about dating, relationships, compatibility, and the app. These are the core content type.
- App explainer clips — screen recordings and UI mockup animations showing how the app works
- Hype/promo videos — fast-cut product reels for ads and launch content
- Repurposed content — cutting longer videos into shorter clips, reformatting for different platforms

Volume: 3–5 videos per week to start, growing over time.

## The Style I'm Going For

Watch these creators and match this energy:
- Word-by-word flashing captions (like Alex Hormozi / Bun Bun content style)
- Clean, fast-cut talking head edits — remove all filler words, long pauses, and "so" at the start of sentences
- Subtle zooms and punch-ins on key ---------- nts
- B-roll drops (app screenshots, text overlays, animations) timed to what I'm saying
- Dark, premium aesthetic — purple accent color (#7B5EA7), white text
- Background music at low volume (8–12%), auto-ducked under voice

- No pink, red, orange, yellow, or green — ever

Caption style:
- One word at a time, flashing

## Your Responsibilities

1. Receive raw video file + editing notes fro ---------- (via Google Drive or Dropbox)
2. Remove all filler words, long pauses, "um", "so", mid-sentence cuts
3. Reorder clips if the story flow needs it (I'll flag this)
4. Add word-by-word captions in brand style
5. Add B-roll, text overlays, and transitions as noted
6. Add background music (I'll provide or approve track)
7. Export in 9:16 vertical format for TikTok/Reels (1080x1920)
8. Deliver edited video within 48 hours of receiving raw footage
9. Revisions turned around within 24 hours

## Tools Required

- Descript (primary — I already have a project set up)
- CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro for more complex edits
- Google Drive for file transfer

## What I'm Looking For

- Experience editing talking head / personal brand / lifestyle content (not wedding or corporate video)
- Strong eye for pacing — you know when to cut, when to let something breathe
- Detail-oriented with captions — no typos, correct timing, consistent style
- Reliable and communicates proactively if something will be late
- Comfortable working independently with clear written briefs

Bonus (not required):
- Experience with dating, relationship, or app-category content
- Familiarity with TikTok trends and sounds
- Basic motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds)

## Trial Project

Before hiring, I'll send you one raw video (approx. 3 minutes) with editing notes. Please edit it in my style and return within 48 hours. I'll review and if it's a great fit, we'll get started.

Trial pay: $25 USD for the trial edit.
