The Role -
We're looking for a Social Media Manager / Virtual Assistant to take ownership of our content calendar and day-to-day social media operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is both creative and detail-oriented — equally comfortable designing a carousel, writing a script, and keeping a Notion workspace tidy.
You'll work closely with myself, the business owner, producing content that educates, inspires, and grows our audience across multiple platforms.
What You'll Be Doing -
Instagram Content
- Design carousel posts aligned to brand messaging and campaign themes (1–2× per week, alternating)
- Design and edit reels (1–2× per week, alternating), including captions and hashtags, and build a pipeline of ideas and ready-to-film scripts
- Maintain and refresh our Highlight Reels, keeping them current and on-brand
- Batch-create stories which are posted weekly, following established templates and tone
Multi-Platform & LinkedIn
- Maintain and update the content calendar with scheduled posts, campaign dates, and any rescheduled content
- Repurpose carousels and create standalone image posts for LinkedIn (1× per week each)
- Upload, tag, and schedule approved video content on YouTube and TikTok
Operations & Admin
- Attend recurring tea
- Keep Notion and OneDrive content libraries organised — archiving old assets, maintaining folder structure, and updating file naming
- Update the target tracker with the latest performance data, flagging anything off-track
- Ad-hoc design tasks that fall outside of the above scope, such as updating our investor prospectus, quarterly newsletters, and other graphic design work
The above reponsibilities may also evolve as you provide input and recommendations on how we can improve the performance of our social media activities.
About You -
- Proven experience managing social media for a business or brand
- Strong eye for design and ability to work within an established brand identity
- Confident copywriter - you can adapt your tone from motivational to educational
- Comfortable with short-form video concepts and scripting for Reels/TikTok
- Proficient with Canva, CapCut/Edits, Notion, and social scheduling tools
- Actively engage with AI tools, such as ChatGPT & Claude
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
- Reliable with deadlines and responsive communication
