# Short-Form Video Editor for TikTok — Detail-Oriented, Long-Term
**Job Type:** Full-time
**Salary:** $500–650/month (USD), based on ramp-up, plus performance bonuses
## About the role
I run a TikTok content operation producing short-form product videos at volume. I'm looking for a reliable, detail-obsessed editor to take over the production *and* posting side of my pipeline so I can focus on strategy and product research. This is a long-term role with room to grow as output scales.
You will **not** need to come up with ideas or do research — I provide the raw assets and an exact formula. Your job is to execute it consistently and catch mistakes before they go live.
## What you'll do (daily)
- Turn provided reference images into short video clips using **Veo**, with the exact prompt I supply (and a second supplied prompt when a video needs two clips) — no creative prompting required, just careful, consistent execution
- Assemble the resulting clips into finished videos directly inside the TikTok app's native editor (so the content looks native to the platform)
- Add text overlays following an exact format (word-by-word captions, specific font / stroke / position — full SOP provided)
- Add trending native sounds, relevant hashtags, and TikTok's in-app tagging / product tagging as part of each post
- Run each video through a compliance checklist before it's approved — **this is the most important part of the job**
- Publish each approved video to the account using TikTok's native scheduler
- Log performance data into a tracking sheet
Target output is around **30 finished videos per day** once you're fully up to speed. You'll start with a smaller batch during training and scale up steadily as you get faster with the formula.
## You must have
- Hands-on experience editing **and posting** inside the TikTok app (native editor, captions, text, sounds, hashtags, scheduling) — this is non-negotiable, it's where you'll work all day
- Excellent written English — on-screen text must be perfect, with no typos or awkward phrasing
- Sharp attention to detail and the discipline to follow rules exactly, even when it's repetitive
- Reliability and consistent daily availability
- Both a **computer** (for generating clips in Veo) and a **smartphone that runs the TikTok app smoothly** — you'll switch between the two daily — plus a stable internet connection
- Availability across a consistent daily schedule; you can work in your own timezone since posts are scheduled, not published live in the
## Nice to have
- Experience with TikTok Shop / affiliate or e-commerce content
- Familiarity with AI video tools like Veo or Kling — a plus, not a must, since I supply the exact prompts
## The way I work
There are hard content rules that protect the accounts. Breaking one can get content taken down or the account penalized. I care far more about someone who follows the rules carefully and flags problems than someone who is fast but sloppy. You won't be thrown in the deep end — I provide full step-by-step training and clear written SOPs so you know exactly how I want everything done. There is a **paid trial period** before any long-term commitment so we can both make sure it's a good fit.
## Pay and bonuses
Base pay starts at **$500/month** during the trial and early weeks, rising to **$650/month** once you're consistently producing at full volume with a clean track record. On top of that, there are **performance bonuses** when the accounts hit weekly revenue milestones — when the operation does well, you do well. The full bonus structure is shared once you're onboarded.
## How to apply
Read this carefully — applications that don't follow these steps will be ignored:
1. Start your message with the word **GREENHOUSE** so I know you read the full post.
2. In 2-3 sentences, describe your experience editing video inside the TikTok app and the kind of videos you've made.
3. Answer this: I send you a finished video and tell you to post it, but you notice the on-screen text shows an exact price that I've told you we are never allowed to display. What do you do?
4. (Optional) Link to a sample of short-form video work you've edited.
I read every application that follows these steps and reply to the strong ones quickly.
