YouTube Documentary Video Editor

I am looking for a reliable long-term YouTube video editor/producer for a faceless cinematic history documentary channel called DuskArchives.

The channel creates documentaries about ancient mysteries, lost civilizations, archaeology, forgotten discoveries, and strange historical evidence.

I will provide the script. The editor will be responsible for turning the script into complete finished videos.

Main responsibilities:

* Produce and edit 2 long-form YouTube documentaries per month
* Runtime is usually 35–45 minutes per long-form video
* Create 2–3 cinematic trailer-style Shorts per month from the long-form videos
* Generate or arrange the AI voiceover from the provided script
* Find and use cinematic b-roll, stock footage, AI images/video clips, maps, music, and sound design
* Create a cinematic, immersive, and retention-focused documentary feel
* Keep the pacing engaging and not overly slow
* Use relevant visuals throughout, with no long static sections
* Make Shorts feel like cinematic trailers, not mini-documentaries
* Balance voiceover, background music, and sound effects properly
* Use only copyright-safe music and assets
* Follow a detailed editing brief
* Deliver clean final exports on time
* Communicate clearly throughout the project

Requirements:

* Experience editing long-form YouTube videos
* Strong sense of pacing for documentary-style videos
* Ability to create engaging visual flow for 35–45 minute videos
* Ability to create strong cinematic trailer-style Shorts
* Ability to find relevant stock footage and documentary visuals
* Ability to work with AI voiceover and AI visuals
* Good audio balancing
* Reliable internet connection
* Good communication
* Must be able to meet deadlines
* Must be willing to complete a paid test edit before long-term work begins

Budget:
$250/month for 2 long-form videos and 2–3 trailer-style Shorts per month.

This will begin as a paid trial month. If quality, reliability, and delivery speed are strong, this can become a long-term role and the budget may increase as the channel grows.
