Australian Civil Construction company requires the assistance of a full time qualified accountant.
The successful candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree and have 3 or more years of work experience in Australian public practice accounting.
Have experience using Xero
Have a secure and reliable internet connection with minimal power outages in your area
Have strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and your team
Have the ability to work both independently and autonomously
Have your own reliable laptop or computer
Have a dedicated, quiet workspace where you can work uninterrupted during business hours
Key Responsibilities;
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries
Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking
Support preparation of financial reports and documentation
Accounts
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and send invoices to clients
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up payments
Assist with supplier payments and purchase records
Administration
Provide general administrative support
Maintain project and financial documentation
Assist with
Coordinate with internal staff and external suppliers where required
Data Entry
Enter and update financial and operational data in internal systems
Maintain accurate spreadsheets and records
Ensure all information is organised and up to date
Requirements
Degree or equivalent in Accounting.
Strong data entry and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar)
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadline
Work Location
Home-based
8HR per day, Monday to Friday
Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 25 mbps)
