JOB OVERVIEW

REMOTE AV & PRODUCTION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN — RG SYSTEMS

ABOUT US
RG Systems is an embedded IT MSP based in New York City. We support software companies, fintech firms, and professional studios by living inside their Slack and Teams workspaces — we're not a help desk they ticket into; we're the IT team that works like we work there. Our media clients run live productions and need technical support that can keep up.

SHIFT
6:30AM–3:00PM EST, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)
Please only apply if you can commit to this schedule reliably.

THE ROLE
We're looking for an AV and production support technician with real broadcast experience. You'll support live and recorded remote productions — handling talent audio, camera, and IFB setup, managing platform connections between remote contributors and studios, and keeping shows running smoothly in real time. Outside of production windows you'll support clients with general IT tickets via Slack and Jira.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Pre-production tech checks with remote talent: audio levels, microphone and interface setup, camera framing, IFB/earpiece configuration
- Operate and troubleshoot live remote production workflows using Zoom, vMix, and Singular.live
- Manage remote guest integration into live productions — audio routing, latency, codec, and platform issues
- Coordinate in real time with on-site producers, directors, and engineers via Slack or Teams during live sessions
- Guide non-technical talent through setup steps calmly and clearly under live pressure
- Support Dante-networked audio environments
- Handle general IT support tickets (account access, SaaS issues, device troubleshooting) outside of production hours
- Log all issues in Jira Service Management and document recurring problems in Confluence

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years in broadcast, live production, or AV support
- Hands-on experience with vMix and Zoom (Zoom Events, Zoom for Broadcast, or Zoom Rooms)
- Working knowledge of audio signal chains: mixers, XLR mics, USB/Dante audio interfaces, IFB systems
- Singular.live experience for live graphics
- Dante networking experience
- Comfortable troubleshooting on macOS and Windows
- Strong spoken and written English — you'll be talking talent through steps in real time on live calls
- Calm under pressure; productions do not pause for tech problems
- Reliable internet (100 Mbps up/down minimum), quiet home workspace, and a backup connection
- Ability to commit to the EST morning shift long-term

NICE TO HAVE
- Avixa CTS certification
- Dante Level 1 or 2 certification
- Experience with Wirecast, OBS, or StreamYard
- Background in broadcast television, streaming, or podcast production
- Familiarity with Comrex or LUCI Live for remote contribution

TO APPLY
Send your resume and a short note describing a live production where something went wrong and you had to fix it in real time. What broke, what did you do, and what was the outcome? We read every application.
