Position: Cinematic Video Editor — Immersive History Channel

Salary: $400–$500/month + performance bonuses
Format: Remote, part-time (long-term)
We're building a faceless, cinematic first-person history channel — a host "time-travelling" into fully realized historical worlds (the deck of the Titanic, the streets of Ancient Rome, Tudor London) and vlogging the experience in real time. The footage is AI/CGI-generated photorealistic environments + voiceover + reactive performance. Your job is to stitch it into an immersive, binge-worthy ride.
Reference for the style we're making:

What you'll do:

• Edit 4–6 videos per month (10–30mins each)
• Assemble AI/CGI environment shots into seamless, believable scenes
• Cinematic color grading to sell each period/location as real
• Sound design that carries the immersion — ambience, foley, period SFX, music beds
• Cut for vlog pacing and retention: tight hooks, open loops, no dead air
• Clean titles, subtle motion graphics, location/date cards
• Take clear direction and ship on deadline with minimal back-and-forth

What we're looking for:

• Proven YouTube editing (100k+ sub channels a plus)
• A strong eye for cinematic immersion — grading, compositing, atmosphere
• Retention instinct — vlog pacing & hooks like MrBeast / Ryan Trahan, applied to a cinematic historical world
• Premiere Pro / DaVinci / Final Cut + After Effects
• Solid audio editing & sound design
• Comfortable making AI/CGI footage feel real
