Compensation:
Paid Trial Project + Long-Term Contract Opportunity

ABOUT US

We are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) providing construction, mitigation, painting, facility maintenance, and government contracting services

We are seeking an experienced Government Contract Proposal & Business Development Specialist to support our growing federal, state, local government, and commercial contracting operations.

This is not a bid-searching position.

We already receive government opportunities through our bid notification systems.

We need someone who can evaluate opportunities, prepare proposal packages, coordinate submissions, conduct business development outreach, and help move opportunities from identification to award.

PAID TRIAL PROJECT

Selected candidates will participate in a paid trial project before long-term engagement.

Candidates will receive a sample solicitation package and will be asked to complete specific proposal support tasks.

The purpose of the trial is to evaluate:

• Government contracting knowledge
• Proposal coordination skills
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to meet deadlines

TRIAL PROJECT TASKS

Candidates may be asked to:

• Review a sample solicitation
• Perform a Go/No-Go analysis
• Create a compliance matrix
• Identify required proposal documents
• Build a proposal folder structure
• Draft a proposal outline
• Identify missing information
• Recommend subcontracting opportunities
• Draft capability statement outreach emails
• Create a proposal action plan

The trial project is paid.

LONG-TERM RESPONSIBILITIES

Proposal Management

• Review federal, state, and local government opportunities
• Analyze solicitation requirements
• Build proposal compliance matrices
• Prepare proposal shells
• Track proposal deadlines
• Coordinate proposal submissions

Business Development

• Conduct prime contractor outreach
• Contact Small Business Liaison Officers (SBLOs)
• Distribute capability statements
• Track follow-up activities
• Schedule capability meetings

Vendor Registration

• Register company with housing authorities
• Register company with municipalities
• Register company with universities
• Register company with counties and school systems
• Maintain vendor databases

Pipeline Management

• Maintain opportunity tracker
• Update CRM
• Track active pursuits
• Monitor proposal status

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Minimum 3 years government contracting experience
• Proposal coordination experience
• Experience reviewing RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and Sources Sought notices
• Excellent written English
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Preferred:

• Federal contracting experience
