Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced FTC Specialist / Credit Analyst to join our growing credit repair team.
This role is responsible for thoroughly reviewing consumer credit reports, identifying negative and potentially inaccurate information, preparing FTC Identity Theft Reports when appropriate, and ensuring client files are fully prepared before reaching the dispute department.
The ideal candidate understands credit reporting, Metro 2 compliance concepts, credit bureau reporting structures, and can accurately distinguish between positive and negative accounts without supervision.
This position is critical to improving workflow efficiency, reducing dispute preparation time, and ensuring every client file is properly documented before escalation.
Primary Responsibilities
? Analyze client credit reports from all three bureaus
? Identify:
• Collections
• Charge-offs
• Repossessions
• Late payments
• Foreclosures
• Judgments
• Public records
• Duplicate accounts
• Closed accounts reporting inaccurately
• Potential reporting discrepancies
? Distinguish between positive and negative tradelines
? Create detailed account summaries for dispute specialists
? Review account reporting for potential inaccuracies and inconsistencies
? Prepare FTC Identity Theft Reports based on company procedures and supporting documentation
? Complete FTC reports accurately and efficiently without requiring repeated client follow-up
? Organize supporting documentation and upload files into client records
? Maintain detailed notes for dispute specialists
? Flag accounts requiring CFPB escalation or additional investigation
? Ensure all FTC-related documentation is complete before files move to the dispute department

Required Qualifications
? Previous experience in credit repair
? Strong understanding of credit reports and tradeline reporting
? Ability to identify positive versus negative accounts quickly and accurately
? Experience analyzing collections, charge-offs, repossessions, and late payments
? Knowledge of Metro 2 reporting concepts
? Familiarity with FTC documentation and procedures
? Exceptional attention to detail
? Strong organizational skills
? Ability to work independently
? Excellent written English
? Reliable internet connection and computer
Preferred Qualifications
? Experience working inside credit repair software
? Experience with SmartCredit, IdentityIQ, MyScoreIQ, or similar monitoring platforms
? Familiarity with CFPB complaint preparation
? Experience supporting high-volume credit repair operations
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• FTC reports completed within 24 hours of assignment
• 95%+ accuracy rate on account analysis
• Less than 5% file correction rate
• Accurate identification of all negative accounts
• Client files prepared and transferred to dispute department within established timelines
Success in This Role Looks Like
You can review a credit report, identify every negative account, prepare all supporting documentation, complete FTC-related tasks accurately, and hand off a fully prepared file to the dispute team with minimal supervision.
This position allows our dispute specialists to focus exclusively on account challenges, escalations, and deletion strategies while ensuring every client file is organized, complete, and ready for action.
