JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Site Survey QC Controller
- Experience in residential solar, site survey, or design is a plus.
Location: Remote
Department: Site Survey Operations
Reports To: Site Survey Supervisor

Role Summary
The Site Survey QC Controller is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of all site survey submissions before they advance to Engineering and downstream departments. This role serves as the primary quality control checkpoint for survey data, providing real-time support to field surveyors, identifying missing information while surveyors are still onsite, and maintaining accurate records across company systems. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable spending the majority of their day on the phone supporting field teams and maintaining survey quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Site Survey Quality Control
-Review all submitted site survey photos, measurements, notes, and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
-Verify surveys meet company quality standards and operational requirements.
-Identify missing photos, measurements, or critical project information.
-Contact surveyors while they are still onsite to obtain missing information and prevent return visits.
-Ensure surveys are complete and ready for downstream departments on first submission.
-Maintain consistent quality standards across all submitted surveys.

Field Support & Communication
-Manage and monitor the Site Survey QC phone line.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for surveyors requiring assistance in the field.
-Answer questions regarding survey requirements, photo standards, and data collection procedures.
-Provide real-time guidance and troubleshooting to support successful survey completion.
-Communicate quality deficiencies and corrective actions to surveyors.

CRM & Workflow Management
-Update CRM (SubHub) systems with survey statuses and quality control outcomes.
-Mark surveys as passed, failed, or requiring additional information.
-Ensure survey records are accurate and updated in a timely manner.
-Maintain visibility of survey progress and status throughout the workflow.
-Escalate survey issues when necessary to management.

Payroll Administration
-Update surveyor payroll tracking sheets daily.
-Accurately record completed surveys and associated payroll data.
-Maintain organized records to support payroll processing and reporting.
-Verify survey completion counts align with payroll submissions.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
-Identify recurring survey quality issues and provide feedback to leadership.
-Assist in developing and improving survey quality standards and procedures.
-Support training initiatives by identifying common field deficiencies.
-Help reduce project delays by ensuring complete and accurate survey submissions.

Required Qualifications
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-Excellent verbal communication and phone skills.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-Experience working with CRM systems and spreadsheets.
-Strong organizational and documentation skills.
-Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel and provide constructive feedback.
-Comfortable spending the majority of the workday on calls and quality review activities.

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in solar, construction, field operations, or quality control.
-Knowledge of residential solar site survey requirements.
-Previous experience supporting remote field teams.
-Familiarity with project management or CRM platforms.
