Supply & Inventory Management Manager
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Supply & Inventory Management Manager to take ownership of stock across a group of companies operating from multiple locations. This is a central, cross-functional role responsible for ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time, across both physical warehouses and online marketplaces.
You will sit at the heart of our operations, working across several ERP systems and sales channels to forecast demand, manage replenishment, control stock levels, and keep data accurate and reconciled across the group. Your decisions will directly drive availability, cash flow, and profitability, while reducing overstock, stockouts, and tied-up capital.
This role suits someone who is highly numerate, systems-literate, and comfortable holding the bigger picture across multiple entities while also getting into the detail of individual SKUs, lead times, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Group-Wide Inventory Oversight
Take overall responsibility for inventory across multiple companies, brands, and physical locations within the group.
Maintain a single, reliable view of stock across all entities, reconciling discrepancies between systems, warehouses, and sales channels.
Set and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points for each location and channel.
Implement consistent stock control processes, cycle counts, and stock takes across all sites.
Demand Forecasting & Planning
Forecast demand at SKU, channel, and location level using historical sales data, seasonality, promotions, and market trends.
Factor in product lead times, supplier reliability, and manufacturing or shipping windows when planning purchasing and replenishment.
Balance availability against working capital, avoiding both stockouts and excess holding.
Plan ahead for peak periods, new product launches, and promotional activity across the group.
ERP Systems & Data Management
Manage and coordinate inventory data across multiple ERP systems used by different companies in the group.
Ensure stock, purchasing, and sales data is accurate, consistent, and synchronised between systems and channels.
Identify opportunities to standardise, integrate, or improve ERP and inventory workflows across the group.
Act as a key point of contact for system data integrity, troubleshooting mismatches and driving process improvement.
Marketplace & Online Channel Coordination
Oversee inventory allocation and synchronisation across online marketplaces such as Amazon, Shopify, and TikTok Shop.
Ensure stock is correctly distributed and listed across channels to maximise availability and sales without overselling.
Coordinate with fulfilment and channel teams to align listings, stock feeds, and replenishment with demand.
Monitor channel performance and adjust allocation strategies to protect margins and service levels.
Replenishment & Lead Time Management
Own the end-to-end replenishment process, raising and managing purchase orders in line with demand and lead times.
Track inbound stock, follow up on overdue deliveries, and manage exceptions such as delays, shortages, or damaged goods.
Continuously review supplier lead times and reliability, feeding this into planning and reorder logic.
Supplier, 3PL & Warehouse Coordination
Act as the main point of contact between suppliers, prep centres, and 3PL/warehouse partners across locations.
Coordinate shipment schedules, inbound bookings, and stock transfers between sites and entities.
Manage returns, damaged or missing goods, and associated supplier claims or refunds.
Build strong working relationships with suppliers to improve terms, reliability, and responsiveness.
Reporting & Analysis
Develop and maintain key reporting on stock levels, stock value, turnover, ageing, availability, and forecast accuracy.
Provide clear, regular reporting to leadership on inventory health and risks across the group.
Use data to identify slow-moving and dead stock, recommend actions, and continuously improve inventory efficiency.
Track and report on key metrics such as stock turn, sell-through, fill rate, and days of cover.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in inventory, supply chain, or stock management, ideally across multiple locations or entities.
Proven experience working with ERP and inventory management systems, including reconciling data across more than one platform.
Strong demand forecasting and planning skills, with a solid grasp of lead times, reorder logic, and safety stock.
Highly numerate and analytical, comfortable working with large datasets and turning them into clear decisions.
Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel/Sheets) and confidence with reporting and data tools.
Experience managing inventory across online marketplaces such as Amazon, Shopify, or TikTok Shop.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across companies and locations.
Strong communication and coordination skills, comfortable liaising with suppliers, 3PLs, and internal teams.
Desirable Skills
Experience working across a group structure with several companies, brands, or trading entities.
Familiarity with multiple ERP systems and an understanding of how to integrate or standardise them.
Knowledge of 3PL and prep centre operations.
Experience with multichannel inventory or listing tools that sync stock across marketplaces.
Understanding of cash flow and working capital implications of inventory decisions.
A continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to streamline processes and systems.
Benefits
Central, high-impact role with visibility across the whole group.
Opportunity to shape inventory and supply processes across multiple companies and channels.
Fast-paced, growing business with real ownership and autonomy.
Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities.
This position is ideal for someone who is organised, data-driven, and confident managing complexity across multiple companies, systems, and sales channels. If you enjoy bringing order to moving parts and using data to keep a growing operation stocked, efficient, and profitable, this role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity.
