HEAD OF PROJECT FINANCE, CAPITAL RAISING & STRATEGIC FINANCE

Location
Remote (UK / Europe). Periodic travel may be required across the UK and South-East Europe.

We are a privately owned renewable energy and infrastructure development company focused on identifying, developing, financing and delivering utility-scale energy transition projects. Our activities include renewable generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), energy infrastructure and associated investment opportunities across the UK and selected European markets.
The Opportunity
This role combines the responsibilities typically performed by a Head of Project Finance, Capital Raising Director, Infrastructure Finance Manager, Strategic Finance Lead and Senior Financial Modeller.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising: Lead debt and equity fundraising, engage investors and lenders, structure financing solutions.
Project Finance: Design capital structures, negotiate financing terms and manage projects through financial close.
Financial Modelling: Build/review models, conduct IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis, debt sizing and forecasting.
Strategic Finance: Support acquisitions, joint ventures and growth strategy.
Investor Relations: Prepare teasers, investment memoranda, pitch decks and due diligence materials.
Mandatory Experience
Minimum 10 years in Project Finance, Infrastructure Finance, Energy Finance, Investment Banking, Infrastructure Advisory or Renewable Energy Transactions.
Direct involvement in raising debt and/or equity for infrastructure or energy projects.
Aggregate transaction experience exceeding £250 million.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of Solar PV, BESS, Wind Energy, Grid Infrastructure, Project Finance Structures, Debt Markets and Institutional Equity Markets.
Highly Desirable Experience
Previous employment with infrastructure funds, pension funds, project finance banks, investment banks or infrastructure advisory firms.
Candidate Must Demonstrate
Debt transactions arranged, equity raises completed, financial closes achieved, investors personally introduced, models built or reviewed and investment cases presented.
Personal Characteristics
Entrepreneurial, commercial, self-sufficient, deal-oriented and comfortable operating in a lean organisation.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
Build investor and lender relationships, prepare institutional-grade materials, secure term sheets and advance projects towards financial close.
Engagement Structure
Open to fractional, consulting, contract or full-time arrangements.
Compensation
Flexible and dependent on experience. May include retainer/salary, transaction success fees, performance bonus and equity participation.
Screening Note
Candidates must have personally led or materially contributed to raising institutional debt and/or equity for renewable energy, energy storage or infrastructure projects. General corporate finance, accounting or CFO backgrounds without project finance transaction experience will not be considered.
