OVERVIEW
RMD is a digital agency with clients in 20+ countries. We're hiring a Media Buyer to own paid acquisition on Google Ads and Meta Ads -
This is not a "launch it and check back next week" seat. We need someone who treats every account like their own money is in it. You build the campaign, yes, but more importantly you read the numbers every day, find what's leaking, and fix it before the client has to ask.
This is also not a junior seat where we hold your hand. We want someone ahead of us on paid media. Someone who teaches the team, raises the standard, and keeps learning every single day on their own. If you're the kind of person who gets uncomfortable when a campaign is spending without a clear answer on why it's converting (or why it isn't), this is for you.
Compensation: $400 to $800 USD per month based on experience and proven results, paid via PayPal. Top performers move up fast. See the pay-growth section below.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Manila time. We need 4 hours of overlap with Morocco/Dubai (so a 1pm to 9pm or 2pm to 10pm Manila shift is ideal).
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Plan, build, and launch Google Ads (Search, PMax, Demand Gen) and Meta Ads (Advantage+, traffic/conversion campaigns) from a brief, with clean account structure, correct conversion goals, and sane budgets
- Create clear, detailed briefs for ad creatives — concept, angle, hook, format, copy direction, and reference — so designers and video editors can execute without guessing
- Strategize for clients, not just execute. Own the account-level plan: funnel structure, offer/angle testing roadmap, budget allocation across channels, and where to scale next
- Run benchmarks. Pull and track performance against industry and account baselines (CPA, ROAS, CTR, CPM, CVR) so every result has a "good vs. bad" reference, not a number in a vacuum
- Own performance daily. Watch spend, CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, and frequency. Catch problems within hours, not at month-end
- Run campaigns in multiple languages. Our clients span Morocco, Dubai, France, and beyond. You use AI and translation tools to localize ad copy, keywords, and audiences quickly and correctly, then sanity-check the output before it goes live
- Set up and verify tracking properly: Meta Pixel + Conversions API, Google Ads conversion tracking, GA4 events, consent mode v2, and confirm the data is actually firing and matching, not "the pixel is green, ship it"
- Run weekly account-health checks: disapproved ads, broken conversion tracking, audience overlap, budget pacing, wasted spend on junk placements and search terms. Flag what you find with a recommendation, not just a list
- Write the analysis. Every report answers: what happened, why, what you're doing about it, what you need from us. No vanity metrics. We don't care about impressions and "engagement" if the leads or sales aren't moving
- Build and follow repeatable processes: launch checklists, naming conventions, weekly optimization routines, reporting templates. If you do something twice, it should become a documented process
- Run structured tests: creative tests, audience tests, bid strategy tests, landing page angle tests. One variable, clear hypothesis, real read on the result
- Manage budgets responsibly and scale what works without torching CPA
- Teach the team. Share what you know, document your playbooks, and level up the people around you
- Communicate async, in writing, with the numbers attached
WHAT YOU NEED ON DAY ONE
The floor on this role is real. You walk in with these or you don't walk in.
- 2+ years managing live Google Ads AND Meta Ads accounts. Not a course, not a sandbox. Real accounts with real spend that you were responsible for and held accountable for
- You are genuinely analytical and great with numbers. You can look at a performance table and immediately see where the money is going wrong. CPA, ROAS, CTR, CVR, CPM, frequency, AOV are not jargon to you, they're the tools you think with
- You can write ad creative briefs and set creative direction. You know what makes a hook stop the scroll and can brief a designer or editor so they execute without guessing
- You think strategy, not just execution. You can build an account-level plan: funnel, offers/angles to test, budget split across channels, and a clear point of view on where to scale
- Pixel and conversion tracking setup. Meta Pixel + Conversions API, Google Ads conversion tags, GA4. You've installed them, debugged them, and confirmed events fire correctly (Events Manager, Tag Assistant, GA4 DebugView)
- Consent Mode v2 experience. You understand why it matters for EU tracking and have implemented or worked with it
- You create and follow processes. You don't rely on memory. You build checklists and routines and you stick to them
- You run ads in multiple languages. You're comfortable using AI and translation tools to localize campaigns for different markets, and you know how to check that the localized copy is actually good and not robotic
- Recent performance screenshots are a MUST. Send real, recent (last 6 months) screenshots from Ads Manager, Google Ads, or GA4 showing accounts you managed: spend, CPA/ROAS, results over time. Redacted client names are fine. No screenshots, no shortlist
- Killer analysis, not vanity metrics. When you send those screenshots, tell us the story: what was broken, what you changed, what happened. "We lowered CPA from $42 to $19 by cutting X and restructuring Y" beats "we got 2M impressions"
- You care about client results like an owner. You're not satisfied when the campaign is "running." You're satisfied when it's winning. People who set up campaigns and walk away are not who we want
- You self-train every day. Paid media changes constantly. Platforms ship updates, policies shift, what worked last quarter dies. We expect you to do your own daily learning to stay ahead, not wait for us to teach you. You should be the one bringing new tactics to the table
- You read English well. Our briefs and reports are in English
- Honesty about what you don't know. "I haven't run PMax much, but I've run a lot of Search and I learn fast" beats "yes I know everything" followed by a blown budget
BONUS (NOT REQUIRED, BUT MOVES YOU UP THE LIST)
- An account where you can show a clear before/after: CPA down, ROAS up, or scale without losing efficiency, with the GA4/Ads Manager screenshots to prove it
- Experience scaling an account past $10K/month in spend profitably
- E-commerce / Shopify paid media (we have e-commerce clients)
- Lead-gen experience with offline/CRM conversion tracking
- Server-side tracking (sGTM, CAPI Gateway) experience
- Google Tag Manager fluency
- French (we have clients in France and North Africa)
- Comfortable recording Loom walkthroughs of an account to explain your thinking async
WHO WE ARE
A small team distributed across Morocco and Dubai. We work in writing, async-first, and we trust people to ship and to own the number.
We use AI in the daily work, in media buying, in copy, and in translation. We expect you to use it too, fluently, after onboarding. The test for this role does not allow AI, because we need to see how YOU read an account and make decisions.
WHY THIS ROLE IS WORTH IT (read this part carefully)
This is a seat with a high ceiling for someone who is already strong and keeps getting stronger. Here's what that means:
- You will get to do more, fast. If you can build clean campaigns and actually move the numbers, we hand you more accounts, bigger budgets, and a real say in strategy. We don't make good media buyers babysit one account forever.
- We reward results. Drop a CPA, scale a winning account, save a campaign we thought was dead, and we adjust your pay and scope to match. We don't make people wait 2 years for a real raise. A-players see significant pay growth (50% to 80%+) inside the first year.
- You set the standard, and we back it. We want someone who pushes us forward on paid media, brings us new tactics, and teaches the team. If you do that, you get more ownership, not more oversight.
- The ceiling is what you make of it. Our best media buyers grow into account strategists and paid media leads who own client relationships and budgets. You d
Who this is NOT for: people who set up a campaign, send a screenshot of impressions, and call it a day. People who get nervous reading a numbers table. People who wait to be taught instead of teaching themselves. If comfortable, low-pressure, and no growth is the goal, this isn't the seat. Apply somewhere else, no hard feelings.
HOW TO APPLY
- Reply with your CV
- Include recent performance screenshots (last 6 months) from accounts you've managed: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and/or GA4. Show spend and results over time. Redacted client/brand names are fine. This is required, not optional

- Tell us in 2 to 3 sentences: what's the most recent account you managed? What was broken or underperforming, what did you change, and what was the measurable result?
- If your application makes our shortlist, we send you a free 45-minute practical test (we'll show you the scoring before you start). Expect to read a real account's numbers and tell us what you'd do
- We reply within 5 business days if we want to move you forward. We're a small team with no dedicated recruiter. If you don't hear from us in that window, it wasn't a fit this round. Don't take it personally and please don't chase. We respect your time enough to be honest about that.
WHAT NOT TO SEND
- A CV with no performance screenshots
- Vanity metrics (impressions, reach, "engagement") with no link to leads or sales
- "I am hardworking and loyal" cover letters with no numbers
- Promises that you can do everything and scale anything (we know nobody can)
We're hiring one person for this role. We're patient. We will wait for the right fit.
