**Short-Form Video Editor for Restaurant & Hospitality Content**

We’re looking for a talented remote short-form video editor to help us create clean, engaging social media videos for restaurants and hospitality brands.

We run a restaurant-focused social media platform and content creation agency, and we’re looking for someone who can help us turn raw restaurant footage into polished, modern, social-first videos. This role will start part-time and flexible, with the goal of potentially growing into a larger or full-time position if the fit is strong.

The ideal candidate has a strong creative eye and understands what makes short-form content perform well on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms.

**Responsibilities:**

* Edit short-form social media videos for restaurants and hospitality brands
* Select the strongest clips from raw footage
* Colour grade videos with exceptional precision
* Create strong openings/hooks that keep viewers watching
* Add captions, text overlays, music, sound effects, and transitions where appropriate
* Choose fonts and design elements that feel clean, modern, and on-brand
* Follow creative direction while also bringing your own ideas to the edit
* Stay organized, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines

**We’re looking for someone who:**

* Has experience editing short-form social media videos
* Has a strong eye for clean design, font selection, and visual branding
* Understands pacing, storytelling, hooks, and retention
* Knows how to use music and sound effects to make videos more engaging
* Can work independently and stay organized remotely
* Communicates well and is reliable with deadlines
* Is interested in restaurant, food, lifestyle, or hospitality content
* Is fluent in English, to the extent that they can understand creative direction, ensure correct captions, and receive and provide feedback clearly

**Trial edit process:**

As part of the hiring process, selected applicants will be invited to complete one short trial reel using raw footage we provide. This trial will help us understand your editing style, pacing, font choices, music selection, and overall creative instincts.

The trial reel is unpaid. However, if you are selected for the role, you will receive a $125 USD hiring bonus before beginning any paid projects.
