Social Media VA — Mining/FIFO UGC Sourcing & Creator Outreach

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're a Perth-based recruitment company in the Australian mining industry. We grow our brand by resharing the best viral and trending content about mining life, FIFO (fly-in fly-out) and DIDO (drive-in drive-out) work — always with the creator's permission and full credit — and using it to attract people who want to get into the industry.

We're looking for a sharp, online-savvy Social Media VA to keep a steady pipeline of this content flowing. You'll work during Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) business hours — the same as Philippine Standard Time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Monitor TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Reddit for trending/viral content about the Australian mining industry and FIFO/DIDO life and roles
- Spot high-engagement posts early and track what's gaining traction
- Reach out to the original creator to request permission to (a) repost their content and (b) add our caption/call-to-action — professionally and on-brand
- ALWAYS credit and tag the original creator's handle on every repost, every time
- Repurpose approved content for our channels and add a clear call-to-action, e.g. "Interested in mining work or breaking into the industry? Reach out or visit our website."
- Keep written records of who was contacted, their response, and permission granted (in writing)
- Organize approved content into a library/spreadsheet with post links, creator handles, permission status, and usage notes

MUST-HAVE SKILLS
- Strong instinct for what's trending and shareable on social media
- Excellent written English with a friendly, persuasive outreach style
- Experience with creator / influencer / community outreach
- Highly organized — tracks every contact, credit, and permission carefully
- Comfortable across all major social platforms and basic content tools

NICE TO HAVE
- Experience running UGC, influencer, or repost-style campaigns
- Basic graphic/video editing to add captions and CTAs (Canva, CapCut)
- Any familiarity with mining, trades, FIFO work, or recruitment
- Social scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Metricool)
