The Technology and Automation Specialist will lead the company’s adoption and execution of AI-driven solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, with a primary focus on the design, deployment, and ongoing management of Copilot agents and intelligent automation.
This role owns the strategy and implementation of how AI is embedded into daily operations, improving efficiency, enhancing decision-making, and increasing responsiveness across teams. In addition to AI leadership, the Specialist will optimize the broader Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring tools are fully leveraged, workflows are streamlined, and scalable systems are in place to support continued growth.
This is a fully remote position with competitive pay at $11 USD/hour. Standard hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST, and 8:00 AM–3:00 PM PST on Fridays. Contractors may extend Fridays to 5:00 PM PST.
Responsibilities
AI Strategy, Copilot Agents, and Intelligent Automation (Primary Focus):
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain companywide Copilot Agents that support core operational workflows, communication management, and decision-making
- Own the lifecycle of Copilot solutions, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to embed AI into daily operations, reducing manual effort and improving speed and accuracy
- Develop and refine AI-driven workflows, including inbox monitoring,
- Establish governance standards for Copilot usage, including prompt design, agent structure, data handling, and ongoing maintenance
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft AI capabilities and recommend scalable implementation strategies aligned with business needs
Microsoft Ecosystem Management and Automation (Secondary Focus):
- Oversee and optimize the company’s Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and the Power Platform
- Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved system utilization
- Design and implement Power Automate workflows to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks (in alignment with AI initiatives)
- Build systems to improve visibility and accountability, including dashboards, tracking tools, and reporting solutions using Power BI and Excel
- Partner with Leadership and Team Leads to assess operational pain points and recommend technology-driven solutions
- Establish and document best practices, governance standards, and system architecture across Microsoft tools
Adoption, Training, and Continuous Improvement:
- Provide guidance and training to staff on effective use of Microsoft tools, with emphasis on Copilot and AI-enabled workflows
- Drive adoption of AI and automation through practical, workflow-based use cases
- Troubleshoot system issues and continuously refine implemented solutions
- Stay current on Microsoft updates, AI advancements, and automation trends, proactively recommending enhancements
- Support special projects and system initiatives as needed
Required Skills and Abilities
- Advanced, hands-on experience designing and deploying Microsoft Copilot solutions and AI-driven workflows
- Strong experience building and maintaining AI agents, prompt frameworks, or automation using generative AI tools
- Deep experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
- Strong process improvement and workflow optimization mindset
- Ability to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience implementing AI-driven solutions for inbox management, communication triage, or service operations
- Experience designing workflow-based AI use cases (e.g., escalation tracking, response monitoring, task routing)
- Experience supporting service-based or operations-driven organizations
- Experience working with shared inboxes, ticketing systems, or communication workflows
- Experience driving AI adoption across teams (not just building solutions)
- Experience working with remote or international teams
Education and Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Machine Learning, or related field preferred
- Equivalent hands-on experience with Microsoft AI, Copilot, and automation tools may be considered in lieu of formal education
Work Arrangement
- Contract position (Philippines-based)

- Must be available for overlap with U.S. business hours as needed

Contractors
- Are not eligible for employee benefits such as paid time off (PTO), health insurance, or retirement plans,
- Bill and are compensated only for hours worked, with no eligibility for overtime pay. The hourly rate remains consistent regardless of the number of hours worked, and
- Do not receive pay during company closures (e.g., holidays) unless they perform pre-approved work during those periods. We observe 14 holidays annually.
To reflect these differences, we are offering a higher hourly rate than that of a regular employee. This is intended to help offset costs such as health insurance and retirement and provide flexibility for unpaid time off.
