Job Title: US Tax Preparer — Active Enrolled Agent (EA) | Construction-Niche CPA Firm

We're a Philadelphia-based CPA firm specializing in accounting and tax for construction companies and contractors. We're growing our tax function and looking for a sharp, reliable, client-facing US tax professional to join our team long-term.
This role is specifically for an ACTIVE US Enrolled Agent. Please do not apply if you are an "EA candidate," former EA, or general tax preparer without the active credential — we verify EA status with the IRS before any offer.
What you'll do:

Prepare and review US individual and business returns (1040, 1120-S, 1065, 1120)
Handle tax planning and IRS correspondence/representation for our clients
Work primarily with construction and contractor clients (job costing, S-corp owner comp, multi-state)
Communicate directly and clearly with our US-based team during business hours

Required:

Active US Enrolled Agent (EA) with a current PTIN — this is non-negotiable
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Hands-on experience with TaxDome (client/workflow management)
Hands-on experience with Intuit ProConnect Tax
Strong written and spoken English
Reliable, deadline-driven, and comfortable owning work without heavy supervision

Nice to have:

Prior experience working with a US accounting/CPA firm
Construction or contractor industry tax experience
Multi-state tax experience

Hours: Must overlap with US Eastern business hours (Mon–Fri).
