JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly organized and creative Interior Designer & Design Coordinator to join our residential construction company. This role is responsible for managing the entire design selection process from start to finish while helping create a smooth and professional client experience throughout construction. Daily responsibilities include gathering project information from estimates, scopes of work, and project managers to build organized selection spreadsheets, allowance sheets, and room-by-room mood boards for each home. The designer will assist clients with selecting finishes, fixtures, materials, colors, lighting, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile, and other interior selections while helping them stay on track with their budget and overall design vision. This position also includes creating 3D visuals and design renderings of spaces to help clients better understand layouts and finished designs, including tile layouts, vanity and lighting placement, kitchen cabinet layouts, feature walls, and other room concepts. The designer will also create organized spreadsheets with product links, pricing, lead times, and purchasing information to simplify ordering and project coordination. Strong communication skills are important, as the designer will regularly communicate with clients, vendors, suppliers, and the construction team to keep selections, approvals, and purchasing moving efficiently.

The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines at once. A major focus of this position is coordinating and purchasing materials according to the construction schedule to ensure products are delivered on time and properly tracked from ordering through delivery. Responsibilities also include monitoring deliveries arriving to the office or job sites, informing the team when materials arrive, and maintaining accurate records of all purchases and deliveries within spreadsheets and project folders. In addition to design coordination, this role will assist with marketing efforts by creating social media content, scheduling professional photography for completed projects, posting to Instagram every two days, creating Facebook advertisements, and helping showcase completed homes online. The right person for this role enjoys both design and operations, has a strong eye for aesthetics, works well in a fast-paced construction environment, and takes pride in keeping projects organized while helping create beautiful homes and a strong company brand.
