Medical Biller – Home Health / Medicaid HMO

Florida Home Healthcare is a Medicare/Medicaid-certified home health agency seeking an experienced Medical Biller with a strong background in long-term billing for Medicaid HMO managed care plans. This is a part-time remote position (20 hours per week) compensated at $650–$900/month USD depending on experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive in accounts receivable follow-up, and comfortable working independently within home health billing workflows.

Key responsibilities
Submit and manage claims for home health services billed to Medicaid HMO/managed care plans
Post payments from Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) received from health plans accurately and timely
Identify non-payments, underpayments, and denials; research root causes and initiate corrective action with health plans
Follow up directly with health plans to resolve claim issues, submit appeals, and ensure timely reimbursement
Maintain organized accounts receivable records and provide regular updates on outstanding claims

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience with a focus on Medicaid HMO or managed care plans
Experience in home health or long-term care billing strongly preferred
Familiarity with HHAexchange platform is a significant plus
Proficiency in reading and posting ERAs; solid understanding of EOB and remittance workflows
Strong communication skills for direct follow-up with health plan representatives
Reliable internet connection and ability to overlap with US Eastern business hours
Self-directed and able to manage a denial/AR worklist independently
