Jewelry Buyer & Production Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jewelry Buyer & Production Coordinator will handle both the sourcing and production aspects of jewelry,
including purchasing inventory, managing production processes, and ensuring quality control. They would also
need to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
Sourcing and Purchasing:
• Research and identify new vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Place and manage purchase orders for jewelry.
• Oversee the entire buying process, from vendor pack preparation to order placement.
• Analyze sales performance and suggest new brands or products.
• Stay informed about jewelry trends and market demands.

Production Coordination:
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Coordinate with manufacturing partners to ensure quality standards and ethical practices are met.
• Resolve production challenges and ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage inventory levels and track stock.
• Provide guidance on resolving production or supply chain issues.

Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and ethical guidelines.
• May be involved in price analysis and setting retail prices.
• May assist with inventory management and sales forecasting.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
• High speed internet connection – PLDT Fiber Plan 1299, 100 mbs boosted speed or the exact same
speed/product offered by competitor. Lower speeds will not be accepted. Bill needs to be provided, which
includes name and a speed test (see below).
• Must have their own high quality noise cancelling headset
• 5-6 years previous experience working with a company in the United States
• Exceptional English-speaking communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must work NYC business hours 9:00 – 5:00 Monday through Friday
• Bachelor’s degree in Business
Abilities/Skills:
• Knowledge of Jewelry: Understanding of jewelry materials, styles, and manufacturing processes.
• Analytical and Math Skills: Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making. Proficiency
in Excel in order to analyze sales data, track inventory, and manage budgets
• Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with
vendors and suppliers. Proactive mindset with a focus on improving user experience and sales performance.
• Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Relevant Software: Experience with inventory management systems, Shopify, Mirakl, and
other relevant software. Basic understand of SEO for product listings.
• Experience in the Jewelry Industry: Prior experience in jewelry buying, production, or a related field is
highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a Team: Positive attitude and demeanor that can work cross-functionally with marketing,
inventory and operations teams.
