Web Developer

WEB DESIGNER / DEVELOPER | PROJECT BASED

We're a marketing agency based in Australia building websites for small businesses across hospitality, automotive, services, and more. We generate site foundations using AI tools and need someone who can take those outputs, refine them, and ship something that actually works and looks polished.

Scope
- Taking AI-generated websites (Lovable or similar) and refining them into production-ready builds
- Implementing editable content sections (menus, event listings, etc. - basic CMS-style functionality) so clients can manage their own updates
- Light layout and design adjustments to match brand intent
- Deploying to GoDaddy hosting or wherever you can recommend
- Building basic service-based and hospitality-style websites from scratch when needed

Requirements:

Experience
- 3+ years building and shipping websites, not just designing mockups
- Comfortable working with AI-generated code (Lovable, Claude, or similar) - you can read, edit, and improve it without needing to rewrite everything from scratch
- Experience with React or similar component-based frameworks
- Has built sites with dynamic or editable content sections - menus, event listings, filterable content

Tools
- AI site builders (Lovable, Framer, Webflow, or equivalent) - if you have a preferred tool and you're fast in it, that's all good
- The platform you build in must be client-friendly: easy for a non-technical business owner to update their own menu, events, or content after handoff
- GoDaddy deployment and basic DNS/hosting setup
- Figma or equivalent for referencing design intent

Skills
- Clean responsive builds - desktop and mobile, no shortcuts
- Basic data management: structured content so clients can edit without touching code
- Image optimization and performance basics - sites need to load fast
- Cross-browser testing before handoff

Non-Negotiables
- You can work with AI-generated code confidently. You're not starting from scratch every time - you're improving and extending what's already there. If that frustrates you, this isn't the right fit.
- You ship complete builds. Broken links, unoptimized images, placeholder text, and mobile issues are your problem to catch before the client sees it - not after.
- You communicate turnaround clearly. Per-project works because we can stack volume. If you go quiet mid-build, that kills the model.

Who You Are
- You can take / generate an AI prototype and a brief and return a polished, deployed site
- You work fast and are motivated by consistent weekly project flow
- You flag scope questions early, not at delivery
- You don't need someone to walk you through deployment
