About the channel

Brick by Brick Wealth is a YouTube channel hosted by Zach Garcia, focused on helping everyday people build real wealth — investing, business, money habits, and the path from middle-class to financially free. The editing style is modeled after creators like Humphrey Yang, Graham Stephan, George Kamel, and Vincent Chan: fast-paced, visually dynamic, packed with B-roll, on-screen text, charts, and motion graphics that make finance content engaging and rewatchable.
We're building this channel for the long term. We want one editor who learns our style, gets faster every month, and grows with us.

The role
You'll take raw long-form footage (talking head + screen recordings) and turn it into polished YouTube videos that hold viewer attention from start to finish. Videos range from 6-15 minutes. We'll publish 2-4 videos per month.
You'll work from a script + raw footage. We'll provide style references, brand assets, and a folder with everything you need.

What you'll do

Edit long-form YouTube videos in a fast-paced, retention-focused style
Cut on every beat — no dead air, no slow openings
Add B-roll, stock footage, and screen recordings to support every key point
Create on-screen text callouts, lower thirds, and animated text reveals
Build motion graphics: animated charts, numbers counting up, comparison visuals, dynamic infographics
Source royalty-free B-roll, stock images, and music that fit each video's topic
Color grade for a clean, modern, high-contrast look
Sound design: clean audio, music ducking under voiceover, subtle SFX on cuts and text reveals
Burn in captions
Design the hook — the first 5-10 seconds are the most important part of every video


Required skills

2+ years editing YouTube long-form content
Expert in Premiere Pro OR DaVinci Resolve
Proficient in After Effects for motion graphics
Strong sense of pacing — you understand why Humphrey Yang's cuts hit and why most YouTubers' don't
Excellent English comprehension
Sound design instincts
Reliable internet and a machine that can handle 4K editing


Bonus skills

Background in personal finance or business content
Familiar with YouTube analytics and retention curves
Efficient at sourcing stock footage (Storyblocks, Artgrid, Envato)
Thumbnail design experience


Compensation
Per-video rate. Pay rate discussed with shortlisted candidates based on experience and sample work.
Pays on time, every time. Performance-based raises every 3-6 months based on quality, speed, and ownership.
