Role Overview
This role is not just research and coordination, it is a critical front-end gatekeeper of candidate quality.
The Executive Search Research Analyst & Candidate Screening Associate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and qualifying executive talent before candidates ever reach the Founder. This includes assessing whether candidates are true “drivers” of scale versus those who have operated within already successful environments.
You will play a central role in shaping candidate pipelines, improving signal-to-noise ratio, and ensuring that only high-caliber, well-aligned candidates move forward in the process.
This is a high-responsibility role with direct impact on search outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Market Research
• Build highly targeted candidate pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and market mapping
• Develop company target lists, org charts, and competitive landscapes aligned to each search
• Track executive movement, private equity activity, and industry trends to identify relevant talent
• Continuously refine sourcing strategies to improve candidate quality, not just volume
Candidate Screening & Qualification (Core Focus)
• Conduct initial candidate screening calls to assess:
• Ability to drive scalability versus operate within existing success
• Experience building infrastructure, KPIs, and operating cadence
• Alignment with investor-backed environments and value creation goals
• Career trajectory and job transition patterns over the past 10–15 years
• Evaluate candidates against defined measurable outcomes for each role
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks early in the process
• Prepare concise, high-signal candidate summaries with clear recommendations
• Act as a quality filter to ensure only strong, well-vetted candidates move forward
Search Execution Support
• Maintain and manage candidate pipelines within Loxo ATS with precision and consistency
• Assist in building candidate scorecards, interview materials, and client deliverables
• Coordinate interviews and ensure a smooth, professional candidate experience
• Support reference check coordination and candidate communication throughout the process
Administrative & Operational Support
• Provide light executive support including scheduling and coordination
• Format and prepare client-facing documents such as job profiles and candidate presentations
• Track search progress, timelines, and deliverables across active engagements
• Help refine internal workflows, templates, and SOPs to improve efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
• 2–5 years of experience in executive search, recruiting, or research preferred
• Strong interviewing instincts and ability to assess talent beyond resumes
• High attention to detail and ability to synthesize information quickly
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search required
• Familiarity with ATS systems such as Loxo preferred
• Strong written communication skills, especially in summarizing candidates clearly and concisely
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
