Data Analyst / Business Analyst
Employment Type: Part-Time (20 Hours per Week)
Schedule:
• Approximately 4 hours per day
• Must be available during U.S. business hours
• Preferred overlap between 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST

Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager

Position Summary
The Data Analyst / Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting purchasing decisions by
analyzing supplier offers, evaluating product profitability, forecasting inventory needs, and generating
actionable business insights. The ideal candidate has extensive Amazon marketplace experience, strong
analytical capabilities, and the ability to transform large datasets into clear recommendations that
improve purchasing and inventory decisions.

This role is primarily internal-facing and will work closely with the buying team to provide accurate,
timely, and data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Amazon Product & Profitability Analysis
• Analyze supplier product offers and determine profitability potential.
• Calculate margins, fees, costs, and projected returns.
• Evaluate product opportunities based on sales velocity and market demand.
• Identify profitable inventory purchasing opportunities.
Inventory Forecasting & Planning
• Review historical sales trends and performance metrics.
• Develop inventory forecasts and purchasing projections.
• Recommend purchase quantities based on demand and inventory turnover.
• Monitor inventory performance and identify replenishment needs.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
• Create and maintain analytical reports and dashboards.
• Present actionable insights to support buyer decision-making.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
• Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Process Improvement
• Assist in developing scalable reporting systems and workflows.
• Support automation initiatives and future analytics platform development.
• Document analytical processes and reporting methodologies.
• Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and decision accuracy.

Qualifications
Required
• Recent Amazon marketplace experience (within the last 2 years preferred).
• Strong data analysis and business intelligence background.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred
• Experience supporting Amazon wholesale, arbitrage, or commodity-based operations.
• Inventory planning and forecasting experience.
• E-commerce analytics background.
• Experience working with large datasets and automation tools.

Success Metrics
Within the first 30–60 days, success will be measured by:
• Accurate analysis of supplier offers and profitability opportunities.
